I dropped a Spider-Man dyed River at Cedar Crerk on Saturday. I was told someone picked it up. It was not in the list and found at the end of that round. It is inked. It’d be great to get it back.

We saw it on our card, I gave it to Andrew (I think?) Because he had a cart for him to bring it to lost and found

Andrew Behrens   August 21 at 9:25pm

Yeah, I can't remember which disc specifically I returned... But the disc I was given I put in the lost and found at CC

Has the list of which divisions will be playing Cedar Creek/Newcastle or Newcastle/Cedar Creek on Saturday been finalized?

Newcastle Disc Golf is happy to offer one free practice round to all registered players anytime between now (July 25th) and tournament weekend (August 10th).

I’m looking to carpool to this event with someone in the Toronto-West area. I can drive Saturday, but will need a ride on Sunday. I’m not sure if this is the place to ask, but am taking a chance.

Kat Johnson   July 22 at 7:42pm

Hey Peter! I can likely give you a ride, will send you a DM

Darrell Bankes    July 18 at 6:28pm

We have reduced the total field for this one to 90 players to make it a bit more manageable at Cedar Creek and Newcastle for the Saturday shotgun start rounds...also make for a more casual start on Sunday...90 players takes about four hours of tee times give or take.

Hi Darrel,
What are the PDGA cancellation terms? I understand the $10 service fee.

Darrell Bankes   July 16 at 6:07pm

As per PDGA rules - they are very specific.

What's going on with the $80 pass through fees? This doesn't line up with what the courses charge for days/rounds or what other recent tournaments have charged for pass through fees at these courses either

I don't appreciate feedback and questions being construed as "negative". It implied that asking questions and making your own decisions is not encouraged. It also was not made clear what the 80$ pass through fees was until about 20 hours before registration so it's a bit of a hot ... more

you're out of whack, we're all greatly out of whack. DG is a bit weird, as soon as the course "grower" is making a bit of $$, even close to the best slinger of discs in the event. It's all out of whack. Obviously you can go to the states and play courses that have been in ... more

4 people felt the need to ask about pass through fees. I wasnt even acknoweldged or responded to. Maybe the community doesn't see it the same as you. Possibly some people have had issue with where the money went in the past and want to have the TDs held accountable. Maybe one of the TDs has mad ... more

I'm curious as to why the pass through fees for each course is more expensive than a standard day pass at these courses?

Darrell Bankes   July 10 at 1:57pm

Course owners/operators always put in extra work prior to tournaments and typically are present on-site for the day to ensure all goes well, the course is also closed to walk-on play for the event, exclusive use for most private venues comes at a premium regardless of what activity you engage with, ... more

Robbie Holden   July 10 at 2:12pm

Four Fathers open this weekend at Newcastle has green fees of $15 for TWO rounds. Its Shotgun start so i assume the course will be closed for walk ons and they always have great staff without the overcharge.

Darrell Bankes   July 10 at 3:31pm

All three course owners decided together what we thought was fair for exclusive use of the course for this event. Please consider this an opportunity for you to support the courses you enjoy.

Jane Logan    July 8 at 3:52pm

Hi! Would you be able to share the tentative plan for when each division is going to play at each course?

Darrell Bankes   July 8 at 5:55pm

Hi Jane, I've updated the schedule, until we have a sense of registration we can't commit to who plays where on Saturday...but you will play each course. They are quite close to each other.

Darrell Bankes   July 8 at 6:06pm

On Sunday everyone will likely play at Haute Goat with tee times.

Tanya Ramsay   August 7 at 1:12am

As an update, all players will be at the same course at the same time because numbers have permitted it. Cedar Creek in the morning Saturday, Newcastle in the afternoon.

Chris Brown    July 8 at 3:04pm

$125 ($80 pass through fee/$45/pro cash +$500 added cash)

B tier minimum is 750$ is this going to be changed?

Darrell Bankes   July 8 at 6:03pm

Hi Chris, we'll fix that...cheers.

Colleen McInnes    July 8 at 2:23pm

Hey! Just wondering if you could break down the "80$ pass through fees" so we know what we're paying for. As per the pdga requirements it should be broken down before registration. (Ie. Greens fee, bathrooms, series fee, td fee, etc). Thank you!!!

Jake Voskamp    July 8 at 3:15am

Am I reading it right that only $45 from entry fee goes towards payouts?

Darrell Bankes   July 8 at 5:59pm

Hello Jake, you are correct, this event is being hosted at three pay to play venues that will be preparing the courses for tournament play. Tournament play includes exclusive use of the course for the day and the staffing and organizational efforts to facilitate such events. All three venues must close their properties to 'walk-on' clients for the day.
