I've played Disc golf for about 18 months, but never played a tournament. Would I be novice or rec? Also, I'm 50, so would it be better to sign up for 50+? Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks!

Hank, this is one of the most common questions in tournament disc golf. In my opinion, you're going to have a more enjoyable tournament experience playing with guys your own age. Not for any other reason than you're going to have more in common with them. However; because of the limited si ... more

You also might choose your division based on which courses you'd rather play
First tournament you should play your age restricted division or play novice. Neither will matter, but both will inform you a lot. If you are “good” avoid novice. this tournament will inform you on what to do going forward.
