LSU Disc Golf Fundraiser - Team Format
About this tournament
This event is a fundraiser for the LSU disc golf club team. We will playing the college disc golf team format for two rounds. The college disc golf format requires teams of four. Team rounds are played with two sets of teammates, one ODD pair, one EVEN pair. The ODD set will tee off on every odd-numbered hole, while the EVEN set tees off on every even-numbered hole. After the tee shots, the team chooses which of the two lies to play. From there, the set that did not tee throws their two shots. Again, the whole team decides which lie to play from and the set that teed off would throw. That alternating process continues until the hole is complete. On the next hole, the corresponding set of teammates according to the hole number, ODD or EVEN, would tee off no matter which set putt out on the previous hole. This format allows for each player to tee off the same amount of times and for teams to play as a whole. Each hole has two teams playing together as an eight-some.
For women’s division, female players will engage in regular doubles play with a partner.
Round one for MPO and GEN will be played on the shongs layout, meaning on odd numbered holes play the short/purple basket and on even numbered holes play the long/gold basket. FPO will play all short/purple baskets.
Round two for all divisions will be played on the lorts layout, meaning on odd numbered holes play the long/golf basket and on even numbered holes play the short/purple basket.
The MPO division will be challenging the LSU A-team. The GEN division will be challenging the LSU B-team. The women's division will be challenging the LSU women's team.
Scoring will be kept on udisc. All players must check into the two udisc events, LSU Fundraiser Round One AND LSU Fundraiser Round Two. One person per card will keep official scoring while another person takes backup scoring unless cards are composed of multiple divisions in which case teams will keep the other team's score. Teams can be formulated while creating the scorecard by selecting all players on the team.
50% of registration will go toward the LSU team and 50% of registration will go toward payout.
(Final note)
The park is not reserved for the event, so be courteous to other golfers and allow them to play through.
