May Day Match Play
About this tournament
Cash only - Unsanctioned. 48 players max.
Recasting this event as straight up match play. Each hole is worth 1 point to the player on a card who wins the hole outright. If two or more players on a card complete the hole with the same number of throws, no points are awarded for the hole.
When a player is up more holes than there are holes remaining to be played, that player has won the match. If two or more players win the same number of holes in the round, the match is tied and the tied players proceed to a sudden death playoff as described below.
Round 1 is a qualifier with the winner from each card advancing to a second round finals. Ties to be settled by sudden death playoff starting on hole 9 and proceeding to 10, 11, 17, 18, 8 and then back to 9 if necessary.
Round 2 is the cash payout round. The top finisher in each second round card will split the winnings. Within card ties to be settled by sudden death playoff as described for Round 1.
Payoffs: $9 from each entry will be paid out to event winners. The ace pot = $100 regardless of the number of ace pot entries. If more than one ace is recorded during the event, the $100 ace pot will be divided between them.
If you would like to register for this event and avoid the DGS + PayPal fees, contact Ian Martin via email, text, or FB messenger to get on the player list.
