    27 hole tournament Course open for flex start doubles from 10am and or practice.

    Come register your doubles team (if not registered already) at HQ by the fountain (to the right and over the road if standing on teepad one).

    6:30pm - 9:30pm

    11am Round 1 (TD Draw) - 27 holes Tee Off - Shotgun Start

    Then lunch and catch ups after your round at HQ.

    6:30pm - 10:00pm

    Player social get together and $20 burger + beer deal at the Waimate Bakery, 56 Queen Street, Waimate.

About this tournament

Due to popular demand, more spots are now available for this tournament as we have added a further nine holes to the existing 18 hole course

Vortica Disc Golf’s Martin Galley and Timaru’s Chris Smith Disc Golf in collaboration with the Waimate Disc Golf Club are proud to announce the second instalment of ‘Knottingley Giants’ at the beautiful Knottingley Park and Arboretum in Waimate. Another fun and challenging wintertime NZDG tour event coming your way soon in South Canterbury.

PLEASE NOTE Waitlist players who are promoted to the registration list must pay within 24 hours of receiving their email notification or will forfeit their promotion.

NB Every attempt will be made to run according to the scheduled times. If extreme weather conditions arise, we reserve the right to adjust tee off times and or reduce the number of holes played.

Refund policy

Players who officially request to withdraw from this event at least 30 days before the start of the event (by 2nd May 2024) will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee (minus PayPal, discgolfscene fees and a $10 admin / refund handling fee).

Players who officially request to withdraw from this event 15 to 29 days before the start of this event (between 3rd and 17th May 2024) will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee (minus PayPal, discgolfscene fees and a $10 admin / refund handling fee) only if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is not filled, the player will receive a 50% monetary refund.

Players who officially request to withdraw from this event within 14 days of the start of the event (after 17th May 2024) will receive a 100% monetary refund (minus PayPal, discgolfscene fees and a $10 admin / refund handling fee) only if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is not filled, the player will receive a 25% monetary refund.

Players who request withdrawal within 48 hours of the start of play, or who request withdrawal after the published close of registration and the published end of waitlist replacements, are not entitled to a refund.
