The 2024 Kayak Point Open will be a 3-day PDGA-sanctioned Pro/Am B-Tier taking place Fri - Sun, July 12th - 14th. Players will play 3 rounds total, 1 round per day, except Juniors will only play 2 rounds with 1 round on Sat & 1 round on Sun. The 2024 Kayak Point Open will once again be part of the PackEx Cup. The PackEx Cup is a summer series of 11 events located in the northwest. Players earn points to qualify for a season ending tournament where a stroke advantage is given to the highest point earners. The overall goal of the PackEx Cup is to promote the sport of disc golf and to increase the opportunity for competition for all disc golfers. To find out more information, or to sign up to be a part of the PackEx Cup Series, visit:

EARLY REGISTRATION:
Players who are registered for the PackEx Cup Series get early registration opportunities for all PackEx Cup events, including the Kayak Point Open. Disc Golf Resort Annual Pass Holders also get early registration opportunities as Annual Event Sponsors. Due to these early registration opportunities, and in accordance with PDGA guidelines, no more than 1/3 of the available spots can be claimed through early registration, and division caps are halved during the early registration period. The player with the best score after the aggregate of holes are completed, wins. If players are still tied after the aggregate of holes, the play off continues as sudden death.
If playing Gold on Sunday (final day), the aggregate of holes for a play off is 1-4. If players are still tied after those 4 holes, the play off will shift to sudden death starting on hole 15 and continuing through hole 18, or until a player wins a hole. If players are still tied after hole 18, sudden death play off continues on holes 1 - 18.
If playing Red on Sunday (final day), the aggregate of holes for a play off is 1-4. If players are still tied after those 4 holes, the play off will shift to sudden death starting on hole 14 and continuing through hole 18, or until a player wins a hole. If players are still tied after hole 18, sudden death play off continues on holes 1 - 18.
If playing Green on Sunday, the aggregate of holes for a play off is Red 1, Red 2, Green 3, Green 4. If players are still tied after those 4 holes, the play off will shift to sudden death continuing on hole Red 14, Red 15, Green 16, Red 17, Green 18, or until a player wins a hole. If players are still tied after hole 18, sudden death play off continues on Red/Green holes 1 - 18.

ACE POT:
This event is part of our rolling tournament Ace Pot which grows with each event held until hit, or it reaches the cap of $1,000, at which point a backup ace pot is started. Once the back-up pot hits $1,000, additional funds will be added to the first pot up for grabs until an ace it hit. If an Ace is not hit during this event, all Ace Pot funds will continue to roll over into the rolling tournament ace pot or the backup ace pot.
---------------------------
DISTANCE COMPETITION:
Friday at 6pm in the driving range. $15 for 5 throws to post your max distance (measured to where disc makes contact with the ground). Of the $15, $5 goes to added cash payouts for Pros, $10 goes to payouts for the distance comp. Top 2 distances split winnings 70/30. Paid via PayPal. Day-of sign ups also available.
---------------------------
ACE HUNT ON THE PITCH & PUTT:
On Sunday, before 5pm, play a round on the Pitch & Putt Course with a minimum of 3 other participants while only counting Aces. Take 2 shots off every tee. Turn in your ace count to the Pro Shop after the round and whoever hits the most aces in a single round wins 100% of the payouts (paid via scrip to the Pro Shop). Ties will split. Enter and play as many rounds as you'd like at $10/round. Day-of sign ups also available.
---------------------------
PLAYER CHECK-IN:
Player’s must check-in inside the Clubhouse at least 15-minutes prior to their tee time. Ams and Juniors can pick up their Player Packs then too. Players should also be at the tee for hole 1 a minimum of 5 minutes before their tee time to check in with the Starter.
---------------------------
PDGA LIVE SCORING:
Scoring will be handled using PDGA Live Scoring. Players will get the scoring passcode during check-in.
---------------------------
COURSE/HOLE NOTES:
Red & Gold Courses: Players may take up to 2 meters of relief in-bounds along cart paths where logs that line cart paths hinder a lie or run-up.
Red Course Hole 3: In the event of a lost disc in the creek that crosses the fairway, proceed to the Green Tee with 1 stroke penalty.
Blue Course: Casual relief is allowed for large brush piles, logs, and wood debris. If your disc lands in such an area, you may take relief to the closest spot with safe footing directly behind your lie and in line with the target, without penalty. If a disc lands OB, take your lie 1 meter in bounds at the last point the disc was in-bounds.
Blue Hole 11: A line of wood rounds marks the right side OB towards the green. The wood itself should be considered out of bounds. A portion of the disc must be left of the left/inside line created by the wood to be in-bounds. If a disc comes to rest without any portion of the disc left of the inside line, it is OB. In this scenario, a player should take their lie at the last where the disc was in-bounds.
---------------------------
FOOD & DRINK:
Outside alcohol and food are prohibited on the property. Aces BBQ & Grill will be open from 11am - 5pm, plus the Pro Shop has a variety of snacks and drinks including non-alcoholic and alcoholic options.
