Welcome to the 2024 Kansas City Doubles Showdown presented by Anhyzer Discs! This event is a USDGC Doubles Qualifier meaning that the top finishers of the Advanced Divisions (MA1 & FA1) will qualify to play the main event in Rock Hill, SC.
YOU MUST BE CLASSIFIED AS AN AMATEUR TO QUALIFY FOR THE MAIN EVENT
ONLY MA1 AND FA1 WILL QUALIFY FOR THE MAIN EVENT
PRO AND RECREATIONAL DIVISIONS ARE COMPETING FOR PAYOUT ONLY AND CANNOT QUALIFY FOR THE MAIN EVENT!
IF YOU REGISTER(ED) AFTER MAY 27TH THEN YOU MAY NOT RECIEVE A USDGC DOUBLES STAMPED DISC. YOU WILL RECIEVE A STAR OR CHAAMPION DISC AFTER USDGC STAMPED ONES RUN OUT.
EVENT SCHEDULE:
This event will be a flex start. You can tee off anytime between 11am-4pm on June 1st. You must check in at Tournament Central so I can assure that you have at least 2 or 3 teams grouping up to play and compete.
PAYOUT / EVENT CASH BREAKDOWN:
$20 per team will be paid to Innova Discs for your player packs and trophies.
$6 per team will be paid to Anhyzer Discs to cover rental and travel costs.
$6 per team will be paid to KC Disc Golf Club for club fees.
Remainder of entry fees will be paid as payout to the top finishers by PayPal or a check in the mail.
Recreational Divisions (MA3 and FA3) will be store credit only in the Anhyzer Discs mobile store.
PLAYER PACKS:
All players will receive a premium custom-stamped disc provided by the USDGC Doubles staff. (Innova)
After the USDGC stamped discs run out there will be a selection of other Innova discs to choose from.
QUALIFYING:
The number of teams that can qualify for the USDGC Doubles Main Event is based on the number of teams that participate in your qualifier. The thresholds are as follows:
MEN
1-14 Teams = 1 Team qualifies
15-24 Teams = 2 Teams qualify
25+ Teams = 3 Teams qualify
WOMEN
1-4 Teams = 1 Team qualifies
5-9 Teams = 2 Teams qualify
10+ Teams – 3 Teams qualify
TROPHIES:
For teams that qualify for the main event there will be premium trophy medals given out provided by the USDGC Doubles staff.
