Happy week of Kaleidoscope! When can we expect final tee times to be posted?

Geoff Goss   5 days ago

I will post them later this week, most likely on thursday. Assuming no more dropouts they shouldn't change much

Jamie Koy   4 days ago

Awesome, thanks Geoff!

Mark Anderson    1 day ago

Wilson,

I unfortunately hurt my throwing arm yesterday and will need to withdraw. :(

Geoff, will there be an area to warm up throws? Last time we were told to avoid the picnic area.
Can we throw in the dirt area before the course?

Matthew Freiberg   1 day ago

I mean the dirt that is east of hole 18s fairway

Wilson Linker   1 day ago

No one told us not to use that area, so go for it. If someone asks you to stop you can throw shorter shots by tournament central by the rising wave sculpture.

Can you put my son Zachary on my card for Saturday? Thanks

Is it still possible to drop and get a refund?

Geoff Goss   5 days ago

within 2 weeks you can get a 25% refund.

Josh Draper    7 days ago

What up boys! You guys got a layout for O.B. yet?

Kevin McFarland    September 24 at 4:38pm

Not urgent, but just wondering if we're going to get layout information in advance. Looking forward to the event, thanks!

We're working on layouts this weekend. I wouldn't expect Monarch to be playable before the tournament, and Oyster Bay will be some sort of variation of the standard layouts, with some fun stuff thrown in im sure.

Kevin McFarland   2 days ago

Just circling back on layouts. Saw Leonard post about Monarch for Sunday and that he's working on the changes on Friday, was just curious about Oyster. Thanks.

Will get the caddy book out tonight, OB will be Blue to Blue for A Pool Yellow to Bluy for B pool, with a few updates

Geoff Goss   September 19 at 3:17am

Friday will be the last day to drop with full refund, as per https://www.pdga.com/rules/competition-manual/103

Andrew Riggs    September 3 at 4:29pm

The last tee time of the day Saturday is 330? Is there any chance I could be on that?

Geoff Goss   September 5 at 4:40pm

im not sure of the current rules on this, but i think we have to had a random order for tee times.

Geoff Goss   September 5 at 4:43pm

Thanks for checking

David Cunningham    August 26 at 4:42am

Hey, I'm wondering if we can get an MA60 bracket for the tournament? There are at least 4 of us in the MA50 group: Bill Bartee, Bret Babbit, David Cunningham and William Thibault.

Thx

you could, the only thing is that there wouldn't be any trophy (those were ordered months ago), and the payout pool would be smaller/less players paid out since there's only 4 in the division. with the 15 in MA50, the top 7 or 8 would get paid out. Just let me know.

DATE CHANGE! NEW DATE OCT 5/6

Dear Kaleidoscope Players,

Due to some miscommunications, delays, and bad timing, Flip Up Productions was unable to secure the Oyster Bay park permit we would need from the EBRPD for the weekend of July 20th and 21st. Because of this we have moved the event to October 5th and 6th. We completely understand if you need to withdraw, and a full refund will be given. Hopefully you can make the new date, and hopefully your friends can make it too!

If you ... more

Question what does it cost the tournament to rent the park for the day? $35 times 104 playes is $3640 which seems excessive for a park cost.

Wilson Linker   June 26 at 4:45am

We pay park fees at Oyster Bay a public park and rent out the Monarch executive course completely. Monarch alone is well over $3645.

Geoff Goss   June 26 at 7:32pm

The cost of monarch is $5000 for Sunday, and the cost of the permits for OB are around $700. These are pass through fees to the player, which are taken out of the gross registration fees to determine the net fees for payouts

Geoff Goss   June 26 at 7:33pm

Currently the pass through fees for faciilities are about $60 a player, the more players we get, the more that goes down

Justin Hoyt    June 20 at 2:42am

Hi Geoff. Do you have a rough idea when Saturday's round would start? Thanks in advance

Matthew Freiberg   September 25 at 9:39pm

Geoff do you have any estimates of when each groups tee times will be?

jerime saunders    June 16 at 4:24am

So is this the first women in each division gets a refund?

Geoff Goss   June 16 at 5:48am

Sorry, just the first woman in general. Thanks!

Howdy - just curious why this had to be a C Tier vs a B Tier..? Added cash?

Geoff Goss   June 13 at 8:46pm

it was a c-tier last year, so we're doing that again. We've not been able to pull in sponsorship, so yes, the added cash requirement was part of the decision. We're still hoping to add some cash, depending on how many people register and if we can get more sponsorships in.

Riley McFarland   June 14 at 1:56am

Appreciate the response dude! It'll be a fun time either way I'm just nosy :-)

Jeffrey McCormick   July 18 at 7:34pm

Haven't played these courses. But was curious about the same thing. Thanks for clearing that up! Let's get it to a B tier!
