Kaleidoscope 2024 presented by Infinite Discs

Dear Kaleidoscope Players,


Due to some miscommunications, delays, and bad timing, Flip Up Productions was unable to secure the Oyster Bay park permit we would need from the EBRPD for the weekend of July 20th and 21st. Because of this we have moved the event to October 5th and 6th. We completely understand if you need to withdraw, and a full refund will be given. Hopefully you can make the new date, and hopefully your friends can make it too!

Please join us for the 2nd and likely last iteration of Kaleidoscope, we are again doing
2 Days, 2 Rounds, 2 Courses. We’re putting San Leandro on display the weekend of July 20th and 21st by playing one round each at Oyster Bay and Monarch Bay!

We have another mind melter lined up for our bay area frisbee heads. Leonard Muise, legendary course designer and Whirlwind disc shop owner will have his store out at the event. He will be creating custom layouts for each course. Added cash for the Pro side, and a gorgeous full color Bask towel with the tournament logo on it for the Ams side player pack ($25 retail value). We will have a vendor row where you can check out some great local businesses (let us know if you would like to sponsor the event and secure space at the tournament). And the Kaleidoscope trophies will return as well!

We have amazing artwork supplied by Enero (https://www.instagram.com/rapletters) which will be on our stamped discs presented by Infinite Discs. These discs are tournament fundraisers, and the proceeds from their sale will go to the payouts and to help make this a VERY successful event! Please consider buying one to help us out! We will have an optional ACE POT during registration, and as a fun bounty from your friends here at Flip Up Productions, we’ll give $100 to the first person who videos an Ace!

~Registration Schedule~
Monday June 3rd 2024 @ 8pm - Early registration: Female Players, Tee Sign Sponsorships, and Highly Rated Pros
Thursday June 13th, 2024 @ 8PM - Open Registration

~Transparency in Player Cost~
There will be pass through fees for this event. Of a players net entry fee:
$36 for Facility Fees (Renting Monarch, EBRPD Permitting Fees)
$2 is PDGA Fees
$2 is TD Fees
$1 is for the Oyster Bay Disc Golf Course for course maintenance
$25 is Players Packs (ams only)
The rest of the entry fee will be going towards payouts for Pros and Script for AMs

Script for Ams will be handled by Whirlwind Disc Golf, who will be on site.

~Making Space for Women~
Women will have access to early registration, as well as a $10 discount on both the Pro and Ams side (compared to the Mixed registration Fee)

First Woman Plays Free- The first woman to sign up for any division will be given a full refund after completion of the event.

~Use of Limited Exceptions~
Our team will ensure that the use of limited exceptions (hole sponsorships & volunteers) meet the criteria and intent established by 1.02 in the PDGA competition manual. The number of players gaining entry into the event using these exceptions will not exceed 33% of the field or 50% of any given division.

To make sure we abide by PDGA guidelines on early registration, caps are currently set to 1/2 of the total for some divisions and will expand after the early registration period.

All players must be current PDGA members for 2024
