Festiebands is proud to bring the next chapter of match play to the Joliet area. “The Joliet Amateur Doubles Matchplay Championships" This is a BRING YOUR OWN PARTNER EVENT
This tournament will take place over several weeks from July through August. The finals will take place at Dellwood Disc Golf and be broadcasted on Facebook live.
This time around there will be a “Second Chance” Bracket driven by Dellwood Disc Golf! Teams that are eliminated before the payout rounds will have a chance to re-enter into the tournament for more prizes!
ANYONE RATED UNDER 969 as of 7/1/19 can play, Amateur or professional! I am working to get the few 970+ ams some clarification as to whether they can play or not.
By popular demand we will be randomly drawing matchups to be broadcasted on Facebook Live!
The format will be as follows. Up to 64 teams will be randomly sorted into a single elimination bracket. You and your opponents will have 1 week to schedule and complete your match. If you are not able to complete it then both teams will forfeit (exceptions can be made in cases of one sided scheduling issues) Matches need to be played on or before the last day in the window. EXCEPTIONS CAN AND WILL BE MADE.
Initial Round Jul 14-20 Haines Wayside Park (1 set of 9 each pad)
Round of 32 Jul 21-27 Dellwood 1-18 “Original Gangster” Short pads (Anyone playing am worlds will be allowed to shift their schedule within reason)
Top 16 teams get a Dynamic Discs BioFuzion Raider and Latitude 64 Gold Burst Pioneer.

Semifinals and Finals Aug 11-31 @ Dellwood Disc golf “DG GOLD LAYOUT”
Matches should be played per the courses in the date deadlines. Rules, OB, and tee pads are to be agreed upon by the competitors. Matchups and bracket will be sent out via email weekly. I will try and do weekly updates of the matches on Facebook as they happen and are relayed to me.
All registration will be done through disc golf scene, the cost is $60 per team (30 per player). The first 64 teams to provide payment will be guaranteed spots. If the bracket is filled we will randomize the bracket. If it fails to fill then payouts will be adjusted and we will randomize the bracket the first week of July.
All players will receive a Joliet Amateur doubles Match Play Festieband
I will once again host a pick’em side game, hopefully more people participate this time!
