Hey all, I wanted to let you all know that our club is hosting a women (and girl)-only event during the PDGA Women's Disc Golf Week. The benefit of having an event during this week is that we can waive the $10 non-PDGA member fee. So, you can play in this event as a non-member and not have to worry about that extra charge. Hey all, I wanted to let you all know that our club is hosting a women (and girl)-only event during the PDGA Women's Disc Golf Week. Which is great if you're a pretty casual player and want to see what a sanctioned tournament is like. This is also a good opportunity for men to caddy for their significant other / daughter / mom / sister / friend, etc.

Brittney (the TD) is also working on a really awesome players pack. Lastly, the PDGA is offering women (and girl) members an entry into a mystery box giveaway during the month of May. You get an entry for each event you play.

Ignore the last email. We’re sticking to the original plan since that’s what everyone currently signed up for was expecting at sign up.

I think this change will do more to deter the newer players the event is designed to encourage. There was no pressure for them to perform well, now there is.

I want to make sure that everyone sees that the second round (Mesker Woods) has changed from best shot to modified alternate shot ("men are odd; women get even."-- men throw from odd tees, women from even; each throw to the basket after the initial tee shot alternates back and forth).

This was suggested so the competition will be a little more fair to all teams and should also help with speed of play for that ... more
