Hello Everyone (Wait List Included)!!!
John Reed and I are very excited to have you all out for Year 3 of the Huck Face BrOpen: Thorwkyo Drift!
We love a theme and If you have not guessed, our theme is Fast and the Furious, for no other reason than we are spitting images of the main characters in the first installment!
All Jokes aside: This email is to give you some basic details for the event in just over a week, so please review the details below:
Event Schedule:
Saturday 7/8/2023:
Check in from 8am-8:45am under tent near parking lot:
Round 1 Start 9am
Lunch will run a minimum 1 hour after the last card is submitted.
Round 2 ESTIMATED 12:30pm Start Time.
Saturday Night: 5pm-7pm: Player Party and Gathering Los Chingones Fort Collins 3541 E Harmony Rd #110, Fort Collins, CO 80528
Thanks to Joe Rosner for helping set up a gathering for players and anyone who wants to come hang out with John and Myself as we relax and have some fun! They will have food options and drinks available for purchase and a reserved area for us to hang out!
Sunday 7/9/2023:
Round 3 starts at 8:30am with Awards and Any Playoffs to immediately follow:
Playoffs will use the STANDARD 14 Holes Starting at Hole 1 until there is a winner.
Layout:
Attached you will find our caddy Book(With Pin Placements marked), with the exception of the 4 temp holes: We are working to get those fully good to go and those will likely go out early next week unless we are green flagged sooner. John and I are attempting to use the course as close to its design as feasible. This is the first sanctioned event on the property that we know of and we want to use the course as intended. The exception being we are REMOVING the Island OB on standard Hole 8, it is not a feasible island for sanctioned play. The rest of the course we will follow the rules and OB that is listed on the signs (Hole 6 adds one additional OB Line). We will Chalk Sidewalk areas that are not clearly defined as OB on the left and right side of fairways. There will be minimal flagging as Sidewalks are a clear identifier in determining the OB. Drop Zones where needed will be flagged with Pink Flags to note DZ areas. Temp Holes will not renumber the course, they will be marked as A,B,C, and D.
Currently only Hole 13 is in a pin placement we are not using and the rest of the course is set up and functional!
PLEASE NOTE: All HOLES: The Higher Hole has the right of way. If you worry that someone is too close to where you will aim, wait until they have progressed forward on their hole. We anticipate these being faster rounds due to the nature of the course, we have time to not rush off the tee.
We designed our temp holes to best use the land but also to not interrupt the standard flow, therefore some may have slight walks from the basket to the next tee pad. We appreciate your awareness of that.
We have specific campus areas reserved for our event, but Pedestrians that may be on campus always have the right away and we ask if they linger in your way to prevent you from playing a hole you just politely talk to them. They are not used to these types of events THROUGH the campus.
Rest Rooms:
The Mckee and Candeleria buildings are going to be Open for use of restrooms and drinking fountains. We will have two water jugs near Hole 1 as well to help facilitate further water delivery for your hydration needs.
More Details:
