Bummer this is the same weekend as Disc Chicks AND the HDDGA Ace Race. That will seriously hamper attendance from us peeps up North. Is the date set in stone?

Marc, we are working hard to bring a real course to Southern Utah. Sand Hollow Golf Course has given us use of their amazing course for this day. The master developer is working with us to bring a championship course to this location. I would prefer October or later since that is when our weather is best. I will approach them to see if we can secure another date or a second date. We have to show the master developer that this will bring people so they will help us fund this course.
Ya, my brother Ron told me about it a bit. I would love to help make it a smashing success as a championship course in Utah would be amazing! Are they letting you set up temp baskets? We (Ron and I) got Green River Golf Course to let us set up temp baskets and play their course, golf carts and all. It was an amazing experience.
If they will let you do temp baskets then getting Doug Smith involved will help get more people down and he has a bunch of baskets. If they will let you do temp baskets then getting Doug Smith involved will help get more people down and he has a bunch of baskets. I have been dabling in course designing and will be helping with the re-design of SnowBasin, so if you want any help with a layout (for the tournament or especially if a full course goes in) then I would be honored to participate. On the calendar there isn't anything scheduled on 10/12 in Utah, Idaho or Nevada, so that would be an opportunity to get people up from Vegas and down from N. Utah.
We are using temp baskets yes. We have 9 so 9 more would be amazing. It would provide a better event to play 18 different holes instead of 9 twice.
I talked to Doug about this and he said that he'd be happy to help out with it if the date is pushed to the first or second weekend in Nov. He's got 5-6 baskets and I'm sure we could track down the remainder that would be needed for a full 18. You may want to consider upping the entry ... more
I talked to Doug about this and he said that he'd be happy to help out with it if the date is pushed to the first or second weekend in Nov. He's got 5-6 baskets and I'm sure we could track down the remainder that would be needed for a full 18. You may want to consider upping the entry fee a little and providing a tournament disc. I'd rather pay $25 and get a disc than $15 and not. Just my thoughts.
Just an FYI, there is another tournament scheduled this same weekend out in Roosevelt.
I can't move the date because we are at the mercy of Sand Hollow. We have 18 baskets now. This will be an amazing course.
That's unfortunate.
We wish we could accommodate everyone. This course will be amazing and as fun as they get. It will truly be a one time play. We are trying to get as many people here was we can to show the cities the need for a real championship course in Southern Utah. If you can get more down here, it will further our cause. Thanks.
I've heard talk from the LVDGC of people planning to come up. My brother Ron is planning to play it.
Yes, we've had a lot of Vegas interest.
