DESCRIPTION
The Goondocks Open is a PDGA sanctioned, XB tier, bring your own partner, doubles tournament. PDGA members will receive points but ratings will not be affected. Pre-registration is required - no day off registrations will be accepted.

This is a Bring Your Own Partner (BYOP) doubles event. You will need to play in the division of the person with the highest rating on your team. For instance, if you have an MA2 rating and your partner has an MA1 rating, then you must play in at least the MA1 division. You must play in the division of the highest rated player. For age restricted divisions players must play down in division, for example, if one player is MA1 and one player is MA40 then you must play MA1.

We've reserved both shelter areas and will have additional designated areas to help safely social distance. Each shelter has a maximum occupancy of 25. The front shelter will be used for Tournament Central, people arriving for their tee time and to drop off score cards, the back shelter is being used as the Champions Pavilion, you'll receive trophies and prizes here. Please limit the Champions Pavilion to one division at a time, the current division using the pavilion will be posted.

PRIZES
-David Trophy-
We had custom "David" awards, anatomically correct for the movie, made for us in Australia. Made of bio resin, we love how they turned out! David awards are given to the team with the Best Name, Best Dressed, and players with the Longest Drive.

Best Name - Goonies themed? Disc golf related? Over the top? Creativity counts. Team names will be voted on Saturday night by the committee. Voting is completely subjective and requires a lot of Fort George beer. Each player on the winning team will receive one of the coveted "David" trophies.

Best Dressed - Knickers & plaid, kilts, capris & capes, wild to mild, we love it all! Due to COVID19 restrictions the committee is having to base this years votes solely on Saturday's outfits. We may ask to take your picture, our memories aren't as good as they used to be. The players on the winning team will each receive one of the "David" awards on Sunday. We have been known to add awards in this category. Good luck!
