About this tournament
WELCOME TO THE BIRDIE DERBY!
Come one, come all! We invite you to a casual two rounds of disc golf at Glenburnie Park! Show up, get your discs, and play for only $30. The Birdie Derby is the perfect event for anyone and everyone curious about the game of disc golf. Take on the course with just your players pack and see who comes out on top!
TEE TIMES
This will be a shotgun start, where players are assigned a hole and play the rest of the course from there. We encourage you to arrive around 30-MIN BEFORE TEE TIME to get your discs and walk to your first tee box for a 9:30 AM start. There will be 4 players per card. An average round can take up to 3 hours to play. Once the final card finishes the first round we will start the second round approximately one hour after to allow for a lunch break.
PLAYERS PACK
As part of your sign up, you get three discs exclusive to the Birdie Derby valued at $50 to play your round with. These discs are some of Prodigy’s most popular plastic blends and models with exclusive artwork.
Meet your teammates (discs you will use):
• Bert the Pigeon is ready to help you find the birdies on the Prodigy PA-5, a silky smooth understable putter perfect for everyone. It’s a great pick for a player learning to play for the first time to find immediate distance on your throw or putt with pristine accuracy, and a go-to for experienced players looking for an understable putter with a ton of glide.
• Albie is a curious Albatross ready to take on your Derby on the Prodigy A5, a slightly overstable approach disc in the stunning 300 Fractal plastic. The A5 has a nice, smooth feel with a shallow profile and flat top, which makes it ideal for sidearm approaches and fit for any player.
• Parker the Owl is ready to soar on the Prodigy F3, a stable fairway driver. The F3 is tailor made for long, controllable flights with a mild finish. It comes in the new ReBlend Premium plastic, a 100% recycled blend of plastics creating a sustainable and unique look on the course.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The goal of this tournament is FUN and NOT to raise money. If there are any proceeds (goal is break even) the funds will be donated to the development of the new course at West Craven Park opening in the spring of 2025.
Winner of each division will receive a custom made trophy! Additional prizes for aces and shots landing closest to the pin (select holes).
This is a non-sanctioned round, so there’s no pressure. Enjoy a casual round of disc golf with your family and friends or meet someone new!

Craven Youth Disc Golf is responsible for all refunds and cancellations.
