Are we playing Hole 3 drop zone for water off the tee? People unfamiliar with the course won’t see the drop zone off the tee and I believe the short tee signage doesn’t have the drop zone mapped.

So no drop zone? “Normal” is a very subjective term. PDGA Rule 806.02 , Paragraph D, Section 3 and 4 state “Within the designated drop zone; or,
A lie designated by a marker disc placed on the playing surface up to one meter away from the point on the out-of-bounds line nearest the position of the disc.” in regards to a players next throw following an OB throw. So just because a permanent drop zone exists on a course, it still has to be designated by the Tournament Director of the PDGA sanctioned event for its usage. My concern is when you say “normal” the drop zone is often designated by previous Tournament Directors of PDGA sanctioned events at Stafford, however, for those unfamiliar with course, will not see any clear marking of a drop zone on the tee sign of Hole 3 short tee pad and with the excessive leaf coverage it would be very easy to pass right by the drop zone without even realizing it’s there. I think it’s going to very important to either say yes drop zone or no drop zone and stray away from using the term “normal” to avoid further confusion.

Choose your tee time. When you register you will have to choose a tee time from whats still available. Other tournaments can be called shotgun starts where everyone starts at the same time on assigned holes.

There is no "current" layout. Short and long tee pads. Red baskets on all holes, also silver baskets on 2, 4, 5 splits, 7, 8, 14, 15, 17, 18.

And don’t forget about OB play. The only OB standard through leagues and tournaments historically is the pond is OB , over the fence to the farm is OB, over the fence of any house is OB, the road on 15 is OB.

whether or not OB stakes are in play for 5, 6, and or 16 is dependent on the tournament directors call.

Tournament director also has to make the call on how and when we play the drop zones on 3 and 7 (pond OB)
