PDGA League is back! Whether you're looking to get some rated rounds in, stack up some PDGA points, or just get some experience under your belt, PDGA Leagues are the perfect opportunity for you.
Here's how it works:
1. All players must pay $5 before their round begins. If payment is not made before the beginning of a round, that round will not count. Payment is accepted via Venmo (@AndrewRothschild), PayPal ([email redacted]), or cash. Electronic payments must be made via Friends & Family. If you are a PDGA Certified Official, you pay a discounted rate of $4. Women also pay $4.
$1 of each buy-in goes towards a League Ace pot, $0.50 goes to PDGA fees. The remainder goes towards League costs, an end-of-League celebration, and to the TD team. The person who beats their rating by the most points plays their next round for free (can only be won once per League).
2. This time, we'll be doing divisions a little bit differently. Since players do not get credited with a PDGA win for Leagues, and League standings are done by points earned, only FPO, MPO, FA1, and MA1 will be offered to maximize points available to all players.
3. Groups of 3, 4, and 5 are allowed, please try to form groups of 4 whenever possible. All groups must begin on Hole 1. All participants in a group MUST be League players, no exceptions.
Rounds must be started by 5:30p. Please be mindful of sunset times when beginning your round. No refunds will be given for players who cannot finish in daylight. Rounds may be played in the dark, but all OBs and mandos must be followed.
4. League scoring will be done via PDGA Digital Scorecard. The access code will be "MARX". To log in, go to the "Scorecard" tab on the PDGA Live app (recommended), then add yourself to a card. This can also be done via PDGA.com/score.
This event will be the very first League to utilize PDGA Full Stats! If you'd like to test this out during your League round, please reach out to Andy for more info.
All players must keep their own scorecard for the group. The easiest way to do this is via PDGA Digital Scorecard. Paper scorecards will be available in the box near 2's tee for those that do not want to do digital, but those scorecards must be turned in to the box on the course map sign after the round. All paper scorecards must indicate who kept that paper scorecard.
If you keep a paper scorecard, Andy will still be entering your scores into the website. Save Andy time. Save a tree. Use PDGA Digital Scorecard.
5. PDGA rules must be followed in leagues just as they are in regular tournament play. The one exception allowed for league play is players of legal age may drink during rounds if the park rules allow alcohol to be consumed on the course. However, please drink in moderation since courtesy rules can be enforced to penalize unruly behavior.
All further PDGA League information can be found here: https://www.pdga.com/leagues
You do not have to be an active PDGA member to participate, though your round ratings will only stick if you are one. If you haven't renewed your membership, or have yet to become a PDGA member, please reach out to myself or Shawn Mercy who can provide you with SFDGC's renewal discount code! (only available to active SFDGC members). less
