GASDG April Apex Showdown
About this tournament
The April Apex will be a month long, single elimination doubles bracket. Each week teams will have to play a single stroke play match against their assigned opponents. If both teams can agree on a course to play, the match will take place there. If not, the team that has the lower average player rating will select a course from the following three: Carter Park, Mary Jane Thurston, Woodlands.
Matches will follow standard doubles rules. Both partners must play from the same lie. In the event of a tie, sudden death will take place at the next hole and continue until a winner is determined.
All match results must be reported to the TD. If the match is unable to be completed, extensions will be given if advanced notice is given to the TD. If a player is unable to make a scheduled match, their partner will be allowed to play solo. Cali will not be awarded to solo players.
Once registration is closed, brackets will be built. Seeding will be assigned at random. If the bracket does not fill, byes will be awarded accordingly.
Teams will have to register for the bracket, based on the teams highest rated player. The AM3 bracket will only be players rated below 900. AM1 will be for any player 900 and above, or those who opt to play in the higher division.
Payout Table:
First: 65%
Second: 35%
Final showdown: At the conclusion of this event, we will host a final showdown for the two bracket winners for a non cash prize!
