GENERAL INFORMATION:

Welcome to the inaugural Fulwood Amateur Fling. We are proud to be growing the sport through our amateur player community. This event is hosted by KMill Disc Golf and Driven by Innova. Our supporting partners include: Ace Hardware of Tifton, Stripling's General Store of Tifton, Fulwood Legends Disc Golf Club, and many more.

There will be a players’ party on Saturday, April 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Your Pie Pizza, 2201 Hwy 41 in Tifton. Come by to mingle and get early tournament check in, player’s pack, and another opportunity to purchase raffle tickets.

This will be a one-day, two-round, PDGA sanctioned C-tier event at Fulwood Park in Tifton, GA with a standard 18 hole layout.

PAYOUTS:

No Voucher Payouts, Trophy only for the top three in each division.

Player Pack is valued well over $100 retail with additional goodies courtesy of local businesses.

Ace Hardware of Tifton will also have a booth with their exceptional selection of disc golf merchandise.

When signing up, please consider ordering a discounted catered lunch to be delivered to the park by Stripling's General Store, one of our gracious supporters. You will find the option of a turkey or ham hogie sandwich with american cheese, lettuce, and tomato plus chips, fruit, and a drink, all for only $10! (ONLY AVAILABLE DURING REGISTRATION). Stripling’s will, however, have extra chips and drinks available for on site purchase.

FIRST PLACE TIES:

Tiebreakers will be sudden death playoff starting on hole one through hole four in rotation until a winner is determined.

ACE POOL:

All aces hit during the event will be eligible for Ace Pool winnings. To win, players must buy-in to the Ace Pool at registration. Winnings will be split between all players who hit an ace. If no ace is hit, we will hold a CTP throw-off for the bounty.

TOURNAMENT CTPS:

There will be FREE Merchandise CTP’s for all divisions during the first round of the event. You do NOT need to buy in to be eligible for these prizes. A full list of holes and divisions will be in the player’s guide.

RAFFLE:

Raffle tickets may be purchased during registration or the day of the event. The raffle drawing will take place during round two and ticket holders can check the results at tournament central after they complete their round.

Tickets will be 3 for $5, 7 for $10, and 20 for $20.

Raffle proceeds will be incorporated into swag for future events.

TEE ASSIGNMENTS:

All divisions down to MJ/FJ15 will play concrete pads and MJ/FJ12 and younger will play the flagged teeing areas.

The ladies pars will be different than the mixed divisions for ratings purposes.

The MJ/FJ12 and younger will be one round of 13 holes.

DIVISION NOTE FROM THE TD:

In an effort at inclusiveness and to grow the sport, and in accordance with the provision within the PDGA Competition Manual section 2.01-L,

"...If fewer than four eligible players register for an offered division or a division does not have four eligible players at the close of registration, it is at the Tournament Director's discretion whether to hold the division or not (see 1.03.I). Tournament Directors are strongly encouraged to offer divisions which are otherwise underserved (see 1.02.C.2.c) and to hold such divisions even if fewer than four eligible players register,"

the Tournament Director for this event will allow and even encourage such divisions to play with fewer than four eligible players.

DIVISION CAPS / WAITLIST:

The following divisions will be capped at 20 players for registration: Recreational (MA3), and Intermediate (MA2). Any waitlists will be cleared per division until 30-days from event, at which time the waitlists will be cleared on a first-come, first-served basis.
