This is an unsanctioned fundraising event for the Kearney Park course that will give you an opportunity to play a round of disc golf in Chukchansi Park as well as a ticket to the August 25th Fresno Grizzlies game. When you register please select your tee time. You will not receive game tickets at this time. Your game tickets will be available at the will-call window the day of the game.
There will be 13 holes that play throughout the stadium grounds, taking full advantage of its unique features. You will be teeing off over the outfield pool, careening your way through the underground tunnels, navigating your way from deck to deck, and skipping your disc through the concourse. There will be holes for every skill level. You'll be able unleash a drive from the top deck across the stadium to an elevated basket. Other holes will challenge your touch with deceiving elevation changes and closely marked OB. The signature finishing hole will require you to throw out the top deck window of the press box to the infield island green, reaching the basket on the pitchers mound.
Each player will receive a special disc commemorating the event and will play one round of golf. We will keep and post scores, but this event is designed to be enjoyed as a distinctive round that will create memories to last a lifetime.
The game itself should be a great event for the disc golf community and a chance to expose a larger audience to our sport. There will be several disc golf themed events during the game (including a long drive exhibition, FCDG throwing out the first pitch and putting with Parker and Cilantro Gomez). There will also be a fireworks show after the game. We are hoping to flood the game and show the Grizzlies and the city the number of people who are involved in disc golf. Grab a few extra tickets to the game (only $10 each) and bring friends and family out for a great evening. While you are at it, wear some disc golf apparel to show the city how large the disc golf community truly is.
