Freezin’ for a Reason – Discontinuum December Doubles
This inaugural event’s purpose is to raise money for various course projects in our area. This year’s project is to help fund the new 18-hole disc golf course being installed in Island Lake in the spring of 2024! The added bonus to raising money for this course is that all donations will be MATCHED dollar for dollar by the generous donor who ceded the land being used for the course to the Village of Island Lake.
This event will be 2 rounds of Best Shot Doubles at Fairfield Park. The layout assignments are subject to change but the plan is to play the Glow layout for round 1, and Gold layout + Stockade for round 2. If the event fills then in round 1 I will either add a temp hole to the glow layout or two cards will start on the stockade (which shouldn't've delay anything as two cards can finish the stockade before 1 card finishes 18G)
All players will receive a player’s pack that includes a winter beanie with custom event artwork on the patch (valued at $20).
Trophies will be awarded to first place team in each division.
Entry Fee breakdown of $102 entry per team: $50 towards payouts, $52 towards players packs, trophies, fundraising.
Divisional Information:
Your teams rating is dictated by the highest rated member of your team. If neither team member has a rating, or only 1 team member has a rating then please select the division that you believe fits your team the best. I will be looking into any un-rated teams that register to verify you have signed up for the correct division. I hold the right to move any team to a higher division if I believe that is the appropriate division for your team to play in. The ratings range for the 3 divisions offered are: 945+ rated for Upper, 900-944 rated for Middle, and 899 and below rated for Lower.
Thank you for supporting this event in fundraising for the new course in Island Lake! Its going to be awesome to have another nice 18 holes course so close to Fairfield, I'm looking forward to running some events that utilizes both Fairfield and the Island Lake course in the same day, maybe even next year's Freezin For a Reason we will utilize Island Lake and be able to have double the field size for this event.

Refund policy
Ryan Pilcher is responsible for all refunds/cancellations. Full refunds for withdrawals requested more than 30 days from event date. Withdraws requests within 30 days of event will only be issued if there is a team on the wait list to take your spot. If no team registers to take your spot then the refund amount given will 50% of entry fee and you will receive a player pack.
