Flexing Down 49 Tour Finale
About this tournament
The Flexing Down 49 Tour Finale is the culmination of events throughout the year! To qualify for this event you must be one of the top points finishers for the tour after the 12 Tour Stops throughout the season. The finale event will be free to enter for qualified players. The finale will be a match play bracket event with different brackets for different divisions.

We have made a few changes from what was originally expected for the Finale structure. These changes are meant to accommodate the smaller brackets and enhance the experience for everyone. The biggest change is that all brackets will now be double elimination. We have also extended the payout to award more players.
The Bracket
Brackets are posted on Facebook. Seeds and match ups have been set! There are a few things that we will add to these brackets in the coming days. Starting holes, competition holes, course layout (Specifically MA40+ & MA2. See below), and payout per round will all be included on the bracket and shared early next week.

Double Elimination
The inclusion of double elimination is intended to enhance the experience for all players at the finale. There has always been the reality that some players would lose their first round match up and play 5-9 holes of golf before their day is done. Double elimination will add more golf for everyone. With the number of bracket participants less than originally anticipated I feel like the day will be long but manageable for those who make it deep in the bracket while adding to the experience for players who are out early.
Winners bracket matchups will be best of 9 holes. Losers side will be best of 5 holes. Players who earned bye during the season are still guaranteed payout!
MA2, I know... Just work with me and lets see how this goes. I am confident that this will be more fun for everyone and more rewarding for the champions! You guys are playing for one of the largest payouts in NWA next weekend. Let's make it fair and count! I am open to any feedback as always.
Schedule - Start Time
First round match ups will start at 8:30am next Saturday, October 7th. Players with first round byes need to be at the course at 9am. Players with 2nd round byes need to be at the course by 9:20am.
I do not exactly know how quickly match play rounds will go. Some will be quick while some will be a battle to the very last hole. With this being the inaugural tour there will be some learning that will be done. I appreciate your patience through the process.
There will almost certainly be down time for most of you during the day. During that time we will have a slew of field events each with their own trophies and cumulative prizes!
Course Layout
MPO and MA1 will play the Red tees for all bracket rounds.
MA40+ and MA2 will play the White tees until round 3 of the bracket. Then they will play the Red tees. This shift will be noted on the bracket.
FPO, Juniors, & MA3 will play White tees for all rounds of the bracket.

Payout
Payout totals for each division were determined by the number of participants in each division throughout the tour. $5 per player at each tour stop was set aside for the Finale. Each player will get a custom Flexing Down 49 pin and sticker for qualifying and participating in the Finale. A portion of collected payout was used for these items as well as the trophies that will be awarded to the winners of each division. Payout will be awarded as follows:
MPO - 1st: $175 - 2nd: $110 - 3rd: $80 - 4th: $40 - 5th: $20
MA1 - 1st: $150 - 2nd: $95 - 3rd: $65 - 4th: $32 - 5th: $18
MA40+ - 1st: $145 - 2nd: $90 - 3rd: $70 - 4th: $50 - 5th/6th: $32 - 7th/8th: $20 - 9th/10th: $12
MA2 - 1st: $230 - 2nd: $160 - 3rd: $95 - 4th/5th: $65 - 6/7/8th: $35 - 9/10/11th: $20 - 12/13/14th: $15
MA3 - 1st: $190 - 2nd: $120 - 3rd: $80 - 4th/5th: $50 - 6/7th: $35 - 8/9/10th: $20
FPO - 1st: $60 - 2nd: $35 - 3rd: $20

Players who earned byes during the season are guaranteed to win payout at the Finale! Pros will be paid in cash while Ams will receive merch credit to The Disc Golf Dojo.
