We will be working to make sure the course is SAFE to play for everyone and possibly making a few temp holes to replace holes 1,2 and 3. I would encourage you to wait until closer to the actual tournament date because the forecast has no snow and currently only light rain. I understand your doubts but the course IS playable as I have personally been there almost everyday to monitor course usage and playability.

We were out there yesterday and unless you have high winds to dry out the ground on the front 9, its going to be wet throughout, plus the tees are just dirt. Every tee was either soft or icy and will be wet and muddy by Saturday. With rain forecast for Saturday, its only going to be worse. There wasn't a tee area for 10, so we skipped it but if its in the grassy area it will get wrecked with 40+ people teeing two rounds there. Hole 7 was very wet and soft. Hole 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...are going to be just mud and not worth teeing from unless its dry. Hole 8 has fallen tree blocking the hole. Lots of downed trees, branches everywhere. As a touring pro, slick tess are unsafe. I know Churchville isn't great but with fly pads it is better than slipping and sliding in mud to tee off. We'd like to play and support a new course, but we do not wish to risk injury. If the venue changes to Churchville, we'd play, but we too would just donate our entry to the club and wish everyone good luck.

Thanks for your insight. This tournament is meant for the community to come together and have a fun time, it was never meant for a highly competitive scene. We are trying to make money to build a better course or at least improve the courses in Brockport. We have been playing at Sweden every single day for the past month (in rain, wind and snow) and we are aware of the poor conditions on the front 9. We will be setting up 3 temp holes to take out the 3 muddiest holes (1,2 and 3). As far as hole 10 goes, the tee pad is actually on the concrete walkway next to the pond. The club WILL be cleaning the park up and taking care of all the loose branches and different unwanted mess in the fairways. Most of the tees will be slick but at the same time they are mostly 250ft throws, so throwing stand-stills is a great option. I just played a tournament this past Saturday. It was 20mph winds and 4 inches of snow, and there was a lot of standing water. In the end, everyone had a good time and no one cared about their actual score because everyone was struggling just the same. This event is about having fun playing disc golf on a Brockport course that needs some love. Either way I understand your decision.

There are only one tee and basket for each hole in the current layout (the signs don't reflect that though). I am currently in the process of making the tee signs for all 19 holes and then I will email the pdf of all of those to everyone as soon as they are done.
