There will be NO player meeting before the event. This email serves as the player meeting. READ IT CAREFULLY AS IT DETAILS RULES OF PLAY.

It looks to be a nice weekend! Yay!

There are still divisional sponsorship opportunities available. These are $300, and if you are interested see me for details.

Tee sponsorships are $100, and if you are interested see me for details.

This year the tour will crown Point Series Champions in MA1, MA40, MA50, FA1, MA2, FA2, MA3, FA3, MJ18- and MJ12-. WHile there will not be a points series champion per se for MA4 and FA4, the best overall performing novice will receive a special prize.

Point Series Champions will receive:
MA1 , MA40, MA50 and FA1 - Basket
MA2 and FA2 - FREE Entry into MA1 / FA1 for the entire 2023 season
MA3 and FA3 - Free Entry into MA2 / FA2 for the entire 2023 season
MJ18- and MJ12- Premium backpack bag

Now, the event :

PARKING / ARCHERY - Please be sure to look at the photo on DiscgolfScene for parking diagram. On Saturday make sure to observe and follow any signs , respecting any cones / restricted areas. There is a youth event this weekend,and this is a multi use park. And please, be a good example of disc golf for these kids - who knows - you might get a kid to try the game for the first time.

7:30 - We will begin Check In.
Player Pack will be given at this time. Player pack item will be: CHOICE OF DISC from a selection of 2022 FG NC AM Tour Discs

As of this email there are no players on the waitlist - and I will not accept any day of registration.
Online registration is now closed, and no refunds will be granted for any drops / requests made after Noon (12:00) Friday 2/11/2022.

We will close check in at 8:30 sharp.

We will call two minutes at 8:43 by sounding a two longs blasts of a truck horn. Start will be called at 8:45 in the same manner using a series of short blasts.
The woods are thick so be sure to "pass it along" when you hear it.

All players are starting at 8:45. Your starting hole will be posted on the PDGA event page located at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/55904 ,
MAKE SURE TO VERIFY IT HAS NOT CHANGED AFTER CHECK IN CLOSES.THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.


Format -
Singles stroke play.
Sliding scale payout , from Trophy Only for Novice, and incremental increases as divisions climb.
Tour event payout this year is DAY OF EVENT voucher. They will not be electronic e-vouchers. If you do not claim/redeem your voucher, you forfeit it.
There ARE Trophies for all divisions; First Only in FA4 and MA4, and up to 1,2,3 in other divisions.
*Trophy purchase was made based on registration on 1/14/2022.
Playoffs: In the event of a tie for FIRST - play hole 1 from longs repeatedly until there is a winner (Sudden death)
Playoffs for 2nd or 3rd place trophies will be a random number game administered by Hannable.

Scoring -
It is our desire that every card uses the PDGA live scoring system. This is NOT the PDGA App.
You access it by going to PDGA.com/SCORES
You will then enter an event code : FGDG

From here it is intuitive scorekeeping like you do with Udisc.

All cards should keep a second card for score verification.

DO NOT FORGET - You MUST confirm your scores in the Live Scoring system at the end of your round before leaving the tournament area.

LAYOUTS:


MPO, MA1, MA40, MA50 - Rnd 1 Long / Rnd 2 Short
All Other - Rnd 1 Short / Rnd 2 Short

OBs - Going to keep it real simple this weekend - Surrounded by water in ponds, streams, etc is OB; Designated parking lots and public Roads and beyond are OB. Otherwise, lay where it lands. ANY QUESTIONS, refer to rules and play a provisional and discuss with me after the round ends BEFORE you confirm your scorecard.

In the event of causal water, play it as causal rules permit. Card decision.

Round two tee time and starting holes will be posted to the PDGA results page. The start time will also be posted on the Fly Guy NC Amateur Tour facebook page.

So that should be about it - we're going to have LOTS OF FUN, and I know I am looking forward to seeing lots of folks I have not seen in a while.

Last thing - This is a PDGA event. That means PDGA competition rules of play, as well as code of conduct. If it doesn't belong in the park, leave it at home. Likewise, do not put me in the position to choose a player versus maintaining good relationships with the parks system - I'll sacrifice the player for bad conduct every time. A lot of work and cooperation goes into these facilities - and we cannot represent both the sport and the community in an ill light by breaking park rules and/or violating code of conduct protocols. Be familiar with the rules, and follow them.

Winners of trophies for FG AM TOUR 2021 Pine Cone and FG AM TOUR 2021 Ahoskie:

First - Apologies this took so long.. I got the trophies back in early November, and took them to a pair of events to pass out what I could to folks i saw there , intending to mail the rest, but then in a whirlwind have dealt with a job transition, a family death, a sudden home project and life - and simply forgot to set down and box them up. I posted to the Facebook page I needed addresses and I guess it didn't get much notice; The few addresses i did have I cannot locate in messages because i forgot who sent hem ( it was only a few ).

If you are owed a trophy for the event and have not received it yet -Three options:
1) please EMAIL me your mailing address at [email redacted] with "Trophy" in the subject line.
2) I will have them at the Raleigh Winter Jam, The Buckhorn Am Weekend, and the Pinehurst tournaments if you want to just pick up in person.
3) If your local~ish to me and want to drop by and look at discs and pick it up, get up with me to arrange a time to make sure I am available.
