Don't be surprised if the course is unplayable by Sat. The storm will bring very serious flooding. Is there a plan in place in case we can't play?

Oh we can play. You might just get muddy feet. But anyone that has ever played Etowah has had muddy feet before

Sam I need to pull out of this tournament. I'm sorry but I injured my throwing wrist somehow and it seems to not be getting any better.

"Etowah 2020 Masters" is back to being a B-Tier. Thank you for signing up. Only have about 10 spots left. Tell your cronies not to miss it..

The About section say this is a B-Tier, but listed as a C-Tier... just curious which is correct.

It was a B-Tier. when I changed dates I had to changed to C because of distance to another tournament . Sorry I will correct.

sam barfield   August 5, 2020 at 1:06am

Scott, got it changed back to a B-Tier.

Any updates to the exact dates for the Etowah 2020 Masters series? (I see Sept on the main schedule and Oct in the comments)

September, I will correct, thanks

sam barfield   June 16, 2020 at 5:51pm

I did not see where it said October???

Rick Howard   June 18, 2020 at 3:34am

Thank you for update. I saw October in comments from March 22. The actual schedule sheet shows Sept.

Hi Sam. I think I got a little over-anxious and accidentally registered twice for the 2020 Masters. Can you please check, and if so, please remove one of them so I don't take an extra spot? Sorry about that. David

You did register twice. One had Hole Sponsor and Ace/Ctp and one registration did not. I refunded the one that was just a registration of $55. Thank you for always supporting by being a Hole Sponsor.

Masters Players,
After trying to move the dates on the "Etowah Masters Weekend" with it being a B--tier there were mileage restrictions not being met. So I had to change the "Etowah 2020 Masters" from a B-Tier to a C-Tier.
This will not affect your players pack in anyway you will still receive the same players pack as planned. It will reduce the number of points you will get to apply to going to PDGA World's. If that is a problem I will give be glad to give a full r ... more

By making the women play with the men you take away any chance of earning points towards our goal of going to the World's. In what way does making a women's division cause problems for you?

sam barfield    March 22, 2020 at 2:40pm

Masters Players

As you probably realize the Masters Tournament is the most important tournament to me I have all year. So due to the issue with the Coronavirus and economy having to everyone I feel/think it will be best to reschedule the weekend of the Etowah Masters to October 16,17,18.
If this does not meet your schedule please request a refund. I will issue yours as soon as I get request.

There is a possibility if the City of Cartersville gives us a go ahead we could have two courses ... more

A masters tournament for our ladies is just as important and I hope you will open at least one lady's division come October. It makes zero sense to me why you choose to exclude women.

sam barfield    March 12, 2020 at 7:09pm

Sorry, I have no plans to change the divisions for the "Etowah 2020 Masters" for this year. Six other tournaments at Etowah this year have women divisions.

Sam, I respectfully ask you to reconsider your position. It's not a matter of whether there are 6 others. You have a female who's wanting to play in a Masters type event. We've worked really hard in the Atlanta area to grow the sport for the ladies. It's important to note that wo ... more

sam barfield   March 12, 2020 at 8:11pm

I will be glad to run a "Etowah Masters for Women" tournament with you making a complete female inclusive event. Give me some dates and I will work it out and work with you on having the course ready and help with the tournament.

Peggy Attaway   March 13, 2020 at 2:40am

That's a wonderful gesture. Unfortunately, we only have a small number of Masters aged ladies which is why a couple of them were hoping to play your event. One thing that happens for ladies (outside the obvious ratings struggle playing against men and same tees on top of that) is it's help ... more

Peggy Attaway    March 12, 2020 at 1:00pm

Hey Sam... Could you please open a few Women's Divisions for this? It appears we have a couple of ladies wanting to play. I see you have ladies divisions for the Mudsling. Not sure if this is an oversight on the Masters. Thanks :-)

Willing to open up a women's division? We have a world champion masters woman here in Ga, be nice if there was a division.
