United States Amateur Match Play Championships- Emporia, KS Singles Bracket
About this tournament
The US Amateur Match Play Championships is a match play-based tournament that takes place across North America and culminates in the Championship Bracket in Emporia, KS. This local bracket is your chance to earn your spot in the Championship!
Who can play:
Current PDGA member – All amateur disc golfers can play regardless of their rating. Professional disc golfers rated 969 or below as of the March 2022 PDGA rating update can play (based on the current PDGA policy, which allows professionals to play MA1 in amateur events). New members who do not have a current PDGA rating can also compete.
Non-current PDGA members – Disc golfers who have never been rated 970 or above.
Non-PDGA members – Disc golfers who are not current PDGA members and have never been PDGA members.
All courses will go by tee sign OB rules and which course played will be decided between players per match. If a decision can not be made the default course will be Pan for the first 2 rounds then the final will be The Supreme 18.
This event will begin after 8 players have registered and I have created a randomized match play bracket. Communications for this event will be handled via email, phone or social media. All information for this event will also be found on the Emporia Disc Golf Facebook page.
5/2/22 is a tentative start date, if the bracket fills quickly this start date can be moved up. This will be held over a three week period which gives each pair of participants one full week to schedule and complete their required match:
Before play: I will create a post on the Emporia Disc Golf Facebook page which will state the week of play, matches and all other pertinent information. The players will comment on this post stating what day, time, and course both players have agreed upon for their current match.
During play: On the Emporia Disc Golf Page, It would be nice to have an update per hole as it's fun for others to follow along, this is not required. Please tag me in a post when you have finished your match with the outcome.
As part of the entry fee, each player will receive Dynamic Discs Prime Moonshine Culprit and Latitude 64 Triple Burst Gold Ballista Pro in their player pack. There will also be the opportunity to purchase for $20 the unreleased Westside Discs Moonshine Hatchet at a first come first serve bases.
The winner of the bracket will be eligible to compete in the Championship Bracket in Emporia. The winner will also receive a trophy disc and $90 in Dynamic Discs store credit, with a $45 credit to second place.

My addition: You can find someone to replace you if you have not played the first match yet. Players are responsible to make all arrangements to get paid back entry fee and to get the players pack items if they have received it.
