Elephant & Castle presents: The 8th Annual North Ark Open
About this tournament
Elephant & Castle presents
The 8th Annual North Ark Open
Players’ Meeting
Welcome to the 8th North Ark Open! As always, we’d like to start off by thanking our title sponsor: Elephant & Castle Fine Arms. We’d also like to thank all of our tour sponsors this year: Innova Champion Discs, Creator Designs, Fossa, Millenium Golf Discs, Discmania, Cyclebar Springfield East, 8Up, Fimco Steel, Discs Unlimited, and Dynamic Discs.
Everyone needs to check in at the concession stand. Also, the PDGA is requiring a signed waiver stating we acknowledge the increased risk of COVID-19 by playing in this tournament. Since you all signed up online, you've already signed that waiver.
Speaking of COVID-19, please maintain social distancing at all times before, during, and after the tournament. During check-in, please form three lines, and keep at least 6 feet apart in those lines. Three people at a time will be allowed to check in. There will be water stations on the course, and hand sanitizer at each water station. Please use the sanitizer before touching the water jugs, and do not open the lids. After the tournament, amateur players receiving a payout will need to form three lines, as three people will be allowed in the trailer at any one time.
Further related to COVID-19, the state of Arkansas limits gatherings to 100 people or less. Since we have 100 players at the tournament, we must ask that no one brings a caddy. Also, any spectators we might have would be asked not to follow the players. This will help us stay within guidelines. Thank you for your cooperation.
Round 1 tees off at 10. Scores for the tournament need to be kept on the PDGA website. Player course and hole assignments are already posted at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/46083. The link to online scoring is https://pdga.com/score/. The access code is NAO. Please have one person only record the card scores to pdga.com. DGM staff will receive them at tournament central. When round one is finished, everyone is on their own for lunch. Round 2 will start at 2. Player course and round assignments will once again be posted to the PDGA event page, and scores should be kept on pdga.com. Please note that holes 6b and 7b are listed as holes 19 and 20 on the scorecard. This is to keep all the other holes labeled consistently. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
Rules for the courses are listed below. Unbranded CTP is hole 6b. Trilogy-only CTP is hole 7b. If there is any question about any throws or lies, try to make a group decision. If no decision can be made, play a provisional. When possible, consult with the course TD to determine the correct answer.
