Hi, just wondering if there are any thoughts/updates regarding smoke conditions, air quality and safety.

Hi Andrew. I will be sending an email regarding this in the next couple hours. Thanks for the question.

Andrew Mitchell   July 15, 2023 at 12:32am

Thanks

Yesterday (Thursday) the sign in the ground for the Red pad on hole 10 says "Hole 11" and shows the shot as the hard right angle around the oil rigs to the pin around the corner.

I didn't look at the sign for the Blue pad for 10.

The tee signs were changed to tournament signs this morning.

Hi Calvin, it looks like the caddy book repeats the YouTube video for Hole 3 on the listing for Hole 4.

Hi Mike. Thank you for pointing this out and you are correct. It has been updated.

Hey Calvin,
Schedule says course is open for practice untill 4pm on Friday. Is that a hard close up of the course or can casual play still happen until 6pm when doubles starts? Thanks! Looking forward to this.

Hi Robin. Sorry for the delay and good question. Random Doubles will tee off at 6:00 PM and there will be a Kids vs. Pros event on Holes 1 and 18 from 5:00 - 6:00 PM. You're more than welcome to be on the course and just use regular etiquette if other groups are using it at the same time.

Oh great! Thanks! I got to play it today for the first time. On Friday I’ll probably just want to walk around with a couple discs. Appreciate the answer.

You're welcome. See you out there!

Hey there, It looks like the hole walk-throughs that are posted in the video section are actually different than the current layout on Udisc. I'm guessing the new layout is what will be used for the tournament. Is that correct?

That's correct Dan. Videos of the the new layout - one hole was dropped from last year, one was altered, and one was added - will be posted closer to the event. Holes 1 - 4, 6 - 10, and 12 - 18 will all be part of the new layout.

Awesome! Thanks for the clarification.

Just wondering if the regular layout is what will be used for tournament play? Also, as an out of province player I was wondering about access to play prior to the event. I was thinking of coming to play on a weekend sometime before the event and noticed that it is membership access only. Let's say I come in June would I be able to mention I am competing in the tournament and could pay the guest fee to play?

Hi Tyler. Thanks for the question. If you want to play the course outside the practice days prior to the event, you can email Andrew at [email redacted] requesting access for a day and there will be a $10 fee

Tyler Butz   March 23, 2023 at 3:47am

Awesome! Appreciate the info.

Matthew Shumaker    March 15, 2023 at 11:52pm

I just noticed there are only 4 spots for MA50, and 12 for MA40. Will these be co-mingled for the event to facilitate more connections? Or will the 4 MA50 just play with themselves for the weekend? ;-)

Hi Matthew. Good question. Depending on the numbers, divisions might be mixed in some scenarios to make groups of 4. If the divisions are perfect groups of 4, they typically play together.

You have registration as 7pm GMT time. Think that’s 12noon MTN?!?

Thanks for pointing that out Jon. It has been updated to MDT. Much appreciated!

Matthew Shumaker    February 15, 2023 at 2:59am

Are there recommended campgrounds for an RV? or are they onsite?

Calvin de Haan   February 16, 2023 at 2:33am

Hi Matthew. Good question. There is a campground in the town of Devon, which is 5 minutes from the course. It's called Devon Lions Campground: https://devonlionscampground.com. There is also Leduc #1 Campground which is within 10 minutes of the course: https://www.canadianenergymuseum.ca/campground

Scott Beuker    February 15, 2023 at 12:57am

What practice options will there be prior to the tournament on this course; looks like a members only course?

Calvin de Haan   February 15, 2023 at 2:24am

Hi Scott. Thanks for the question. The course will be open for registered players on the Thursday and Friday before the event (see schedule). We might be adding the Wednesday as well. If you want access to the course prior to those days, you can reach out to the course owner directly: search 'Bailey's Crossing Disc Golf Course' on Facebook and send him a message there. Cheers!
