That seems intentional to keep it limited to true professionals and locals so as to limit frivolous travel in light of recent events.

there's only 90 open spots, sadly, I doubt anyone rated under 970 will get into the event. Same with the preserve tournament, thats my new home course and I probably won't get to play.
