Hey Disc Golfers!
We are 2 days away from the Persimmon Ridge Disc Golf Retreat. We are excited to have you and truly appreciate you signing up for the event. Since this event is a tee time event, this email will essentially be your player meeting. There's a lot of information here so please read through all of it.
Layouts:
MPO, FPO, MA1 and MP40 will play the LONG tee pads all weekend.
Everyone else will play the short tee pads all weekend.
Tee Times: Tee times will be posted Friday around 1:00 p.m.
Schedule:
Friday- Player Check-In, as well as sign-ups for doubles and the flex-start, will be from 12:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. inside the event center. No cards after 5:30 p.m. Pros will play Longs. AMS will play shorts. $5 will go to the course. Practice rounds will be available for $5. Cart rentals will also be available for $18.
Saturday-Tee Times begin at 7:30 a.m. Late player check-in will also be available at the RV for anyone who can't check-in before 6:00 p.m. on Friday. You MUST check-in at least 20 minutes before your tee time!!
Sunday-Tee Times begin at 7:30 a.m. As each group comes in, we will be paying you out as your division finishes. You can either go home or go out and watch the pros. There will be no awards ceremony as we continue to try to follow the PDGA COVID-19 guidelines. However we will send you a trophy disc for the winners of each division.
Payout:
AM payout will be done via payout from the RV ONLY. You can also add it to your account at the Dynamic Discs Northwest Arkansas store. YOU CAN NOT GET IT ONLINE. You CAN NOT take payout from the Persimmon Ridge Store. You can however buy as much stuff there as you want. :)
PRO payout will be done via Paypal. We will confirm your PayPal address as you check-in. Monday is a bank holiday. That means we will actually do payout for the Pro divisions on Tuesday.
Keeping Score:
Each group will be keeping score two different ways. One person will keep score on a traditional paper scorecard. That person will keep the score the entire round and not pass the card. A second person will keep score digitally on the PDGA.com/scores app. To keep score digitally, go to the pdga.com/score website. Enter the password: ridge in and you should be good to go. EVERY SINGLE CARD MUST KEEP SCORE DIGITALLY!!!! The paper card can be thrown away once scores are double-checked. The paper card is just there as a checks and balances thing.
Camping:
Primitive camping is available at Persimmon Ridge. You must check in before you set up your camping. There will be no restroom access after 7:30 p.m. and no shower access this year.
Event Center:
The Event Center will be open each day from 7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. You are welcome to purchase discs, use the restroom, buy drinks and snacks, ect. Please be respectful of everyone and clean up after yourself.
Water:
Water will be provided on the course with hand sanitizer on top of each jug. PLEASE USE THE HAND SANITIZER BEFORE YOU HELP YOURSELF TO THE WATER>.
MISC:
Once your tee time has been posted, there will be no more cash refunds.
Fishing will only be permitted in the evenings once all the cards are turned in. Catch and release only.
I've attached a map as well as the OB sheet to this email. We will have one for every card but if you want one for yourself, feel free to print them off.

*If you need to cancel for any event, it MUST be made by email to [email redacted] Cancellations more than 3 days in advance from the event will receive a full refund minus a $5 processing and cancellation fee. Cancellations under 3 days from the tournament date will receive a 75% refund minus a $5 processing and cancellation fee. If you fail to contact us to cancel your spot prior to the start of the event, you will forfeit your entry fee for that event. No player’s packages will be given to non-competitors in lieu of entry fees or store credit. While this policy will be in effect for the 2021 season, it may change for specific events.
