Double Trouble Doubles presented by Disc Baron
About this tournament
Double Trouble Doubles will be held on Saturday, November 18th at Fallasburg Park in Lowell, MI. This will be a bring your own partner (BYOP) doubles event. The tournament will include a round of tough shot doubles play for the 1st round and one round of partners best doubles play for the 2nd round.
Tough shot is when both players on a team throw their shot from the same lie, but their next shot played is determined by the other group(s) on their card as the toughest shot. This process is repeated until a hole is completed. A hole is finished once ONE (1) of the players on the team have completed the hole by making their shot in the basket.
Registration:
Registration fee is the team price
1) Paid registration online or At Disc Baron (4485 Plainfield Ave NE Ste 101, Grand Rapids, MI 49525)
2) Day of the event - Additional $10 Per Team Day of Fee
Format:
2 rounds of 18 holes - 1st round partners tough shot, 2nd round partners best shot

Ace Pool & 50/50 -
$10 Ace Pool & $10 50/50 will be available for teams to enter.
Ace Bounty - Hole 10

Divisions:
I can add any division by requested if it is not listed. There must be at least 3 participants to make a division. You can register for any division but if that division does not have enough participants to qualify, you will need to move to a qualifying division prior to play and additional fees may be required or refunded if the registration fees differ.
Mixed Division consists of 1 Male Player and 1 Female Player
Womens divisions do not need to meet the minimum
Waitlist:
If a waitlist is needed, players must pay in full and register online before the end of registration. The 72 field is a hard number and we will not add additional players above this amount. If you are refunded because you were on the waitlist, your full refund will be processed and a $10 Refund Processing Fee will not be charged.
Player's Meeting:
Players meeting will be sent via email the night before the event. This will outline any rules and out of bounds. There is no player's meeting the day of the event. Please check in and collect your players pack before the tee off of the 1st round.
Out of Bounds:
The players meeting email will include the official out of bounds for the event.
Fence that runs along holes 1, 6 and 8. Parking Lot on holes 1 and 18. River long on 16.
Raffle:
Every participant will receive 1 FREE RAFFLE TICKET with their paid entry. There will also be additional tickets available for sale, as well as several different prizes.
Prizes:
There will be prizes on several holes, including 2nd Closest Shot, CTPs and LPs. You must be present to win your CTP/LP prize. CTP/LP Prizes Retail Value Will Exceed $500 Retail Value.
Payouts:
100% of Division Entry Fees will be paid out to the top 1/3 of each division. Pro Divisions will play for cash, All Other Division payouts will be provided by Disc Baron in the form of coupons to Disc Baron retail or online store. COUPONS WILL NEED TO BE USED AT THE STORE OR ONLINE. PRODUCT WILL NOT BE BROUGHT THE DAY OF. Winners will have until 5/5/24 to redeem their coupons. Coupons must be used in one transaction and no change will be provided.
Lunch Break:
Lunch break will last approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour after the last group has turned in their card.
Refunds:
Refund requests will be assessed a $10 Refund Processing Fee. Refunds will be handled and processed in accordance with PDGA event standards.

Refund policy
Grand Rapids Disc Golf Association is responsible for all refunds/cancelations in accordance with the PDGA Refund Policy as stated below:
Event Policy
A. Players MUST email or phone their withdrawals to the Tournament Director only at the contact information posted for the tournament. Discussions with persons other than the Tournament Director, including other tournament staff, shall not be considered official.
B. Players who have paid MORE than a nominal waitlist fee of $10 to be on an event’s waitlist who do not get into the event, or who officially request to withdraw from the waitlist prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements (within one week is recommended), will receive a 100% cash refund minus the $10 waitlist fee. Waitlist players who ONLY paid a nominal non-refundable waitlist fee of $10 will not receive a refund.
C. Players who officially request to withdraw from an event at least 30 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund (minus up to a $10 handling fee).
D. Players who officially request to withdraw from an event 15 to 29 days before the start of the event will receive a 100% cash refund minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through either the waitlist or a walk-up entry (if offered). If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 50% cash refund OR just the player’s pack the player would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping). In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 50% cash refund.
E. Players who officially request to withdraw from an event within 14 days of the start of the event and prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements (within one week is recommended) will receive a 100% cash refund minus up to a $10 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled through either the waitlist or a walk-up entry (if offered). If the player’s spot is NOT filled, the TD has the choice to provide EITHER a 25% cash refund OR just the player’s pack they would have received if they had attended (minus the cost of shipping). In the case of a player in a Pro division for an event without a Pro player pack worth at least 25% of the Entry Fee, the TD will provide the 25% cash refund.
F. Players who do NOT officially request to withdraw from a registered spot playing in the event prior to the published closure of registration and waitlist replacements and don’t play (aka a no-show), forfeit their entry fee and do NOT receive a refund or player’s pack. (This does NOT apply to a waitlist player; see 1.03.B above.)
G. Tournament Directors for Major, National Tour, and A-Tier events may petition the Tour Manager to change the timeline for items C, D, and
H. If granted, the policy must be clearly published with all registration materials.
I. If a TD vacates an offered division due to a lack of registered players for the division (see 2.01.K), any player for that division that does not wish to move to a different division that they are eligible for, will be provided a full refund.
