About this tournament
1 round of play
Come try out some new discs at P.J. Irvin! One round, 18 holes, and all the bragging rights of winning the first Demolition(?) in BloNo!
The Doomsday Demolition is a chance to try some discs you haven't before from a brand you probably haven't thrown before. You'll get 3 discs in the players pack. Discs will include 1 putter, 1 midrange, and 1 driver.
Bleak (putter) 2/4/-1/1
Despair (mid) 5/4/-1/1
Cataclysm (driver) 11/5/-1/2
You will also have the choice during registration to add a Blackout in either Toxic Waste or Biohazard plastic to your registration. This option will only stay open until I order the player's packs on ~June 1st. If you register after that, you won't have the option, though I may have one or two for sale the day of. If you do opt to purchase a Blackout, you can throw it once on S2S and once on S2G.
The Blackout is the most popular Doomsday Disc driver, and at 8/5/-2/1, it can find a home in anyone's bag. The cost is the same as what it would cost on doomsdaydiscs.com (minus shipping since that is bundled into the player pack already). It's a phenomenal disc and I'd rather more people have fun throwing it than me trying to make money off of it.
This is an unsanctioned event, so your PDGA ratings are safe. We will play S2S, then S2G. This will give folks time to get the handle on their new discs before really having to give them some throws.
Check-in begins at 9:00, player packs will be distributed, and holes will be assigned. If you come with friends, I'll do my best to group you on the same card, but there can be no more than 4 on a card. Once we're all set, the party kicks off at ~10!
Winners will be announced at the end and prizes will be handed out.
Registration will stay open until the day of the event, but discs will be ordered a couple weeks before the event (~June 1st), so please sign up before that! There may be enough for a couple walk ups, but no guarantees! I'll put the minimum cap on the event for now, but will raise it as things fill up.
What are the rules?
You can only use the discs in the player pack.
If a disc is lost for some reason (maybe a chicken steals it on hole 3), you will have to carry on with what you have remaining.
Have fun!
For anyone wanting to keep the fun going, there will be an extra event or two afterwards. Details to be announced later, but a distance challenge with a mystery disc will be one event for sure.
Come on out, toss some plastic, and remember, you reap what you throw!
