Disc golf doubles tournament

About this tournament

This doubles tournament is aimed to make a difference in someones life. The disabled/special needs community has a lack of activities available to them, and they are some of the most amazing people you will ever meet. everyone will be paired with a "buddy", combining the golfers with someone in need of a mentor. We will be their caddy and buddy throughout the day, helping them with their game, having fun, and learning from one another. This is going to be a highly encouraging and positive event, so feel free to help out when you see fit. After all, this is one big amazing disc golf family.

If anyone has discs they do not throw anymore, or would like to pass down to these kids, i would love to be able to supply at least 3 discs per kid to be able to take home. They can use them through out the round. At the end of the day, you will write something in the bottom of the discs to pass down to the kids (kind of like a paper plate award". Keep it positive and encouraging like, "You are the coolest guy ever. Love, Jake". Or something awesome you noticed about them that's uplifting.

There will be a putting clinic for the kids to teach them the fundamentals of a putt. We will go over the basics of a drive or a more powerful throw with them.

After we have covered the basics, we will play a fun round with our buddies. This day is all about these individuals. The winning prize will be a bag full of discs for your buddy. Hopefully we will have enough donated discs to be able to pass out for all of the kids, so that everyone can take something home. The goal of the day is to have fun, keep it clean, and truly grow this sport.
