Disc Golf Pro Clinic at Conestoga Creek DGC
Staff
About this tournament
Come learn disc golf!
This clinic is designed to improve the game of any player, whether they are brand new to the game, have been playing at the amateur level for a few years, or are just dipping their toes into Pro level play.
If you are new to the sport, you will not need any prior experience throwing discs or frisbees and all of the equipment you need will be provided to you with the player's pack you receive just for registering. Each player registering as Inexperienced will receive two discs just for registering.
Experienced players will not receive a player's pack but will get Pro level instruction at a greatly discounted rate from their private lesson cost.
Our instructors include-
Dan Brooks-Wells, an MVP Discs sponsored athlete with Pro Tour experience
Nick Strobel, a local Pro with intimate knowledge of the area's courses
Kayla Hess, a young player who already has 27 career wins in PDGA events
and with more to be added depending on number of registrees.
The cost for inexperienced players will be $20. They will receive basic instructions in how to play the game, backhand basics, forehand basics, and putting basics.
More experienced players will also review forehand, backhand, and putting but will have their form analyzed and receive further instruction on the more nuanced aspects of the game, for example- how to analyze the wind's effect before you throw, dealing with tournament/event pressure, disc/shot selection, best ways to practice, and much more.
Finally all players will finish the day with a 9 hole "tournament." The Inexperienced players will put what they have learned to the test on the Green Tee Layout (1511ft with no throws across the water) while the Experienced players will try to shred the White Tee Layout (2403ft with three water crossings)
