Thank you to all who donated to this event or came out to support the cause. Without all of you, this would not have been possible. I am going to make a list of the donations, but feel it would not be fair to post who gave what, as the it isn't the amount the matters, but the willingness to the cause that does. Many people donated money, items for prizes, and time to this event, and it just shows that the disc golf community is very tightly knit and has a true love for one another. Mike would be proud of what we did on Sunday, and his love for the game will live on in all of us every time we play a round in Parma.

I am truly honored and humbled to be part of the local disc golf community. Thank you to the 39 golfers who showed up today on a very windy day at the Vet to play a round of golf in honor of one of our own, Mike Broda. By the end of the round, Spiggy was smiling up us and provided a nice finish to the day with a beautiful blue sky and sunshine. Thank you to all who donated to the event, as this couldn't have happened without your help, be it in the form of cash donations, prize donations, playing the event, or just general support keeping the day running smooth from the registration all the way through the raffle. We raised over $1300 with all combined efforts, and that will go towards a memorial in Spiggy's honor. Once the finalization of that is completed, I will let everybody know. Discussion has been made to start an A-Tier event in his honor, and that would be fitting for one of the best local golfers I can think of. Mike obviously left a lasting imprint on the disc golf community, and with all of you support, his legacy will live on. Thanks again and RIP Spiggy.

Sponsor donations for prizes are starting to come in!! So far we have MVP Disc Sports, Discraft, Dynamic Discs, Aerobie, and Prodigy committed for donations!! We also have had quite a number of local golfers donating either discs or other goodies, and another good bit giving cash!! Anything you'd like to help with, be it donation prizes or money, or just a helping hand getting additional sponsors would be greatly appreciated!! Let's do the best we can to help Spiggy and his family in their time of need!!! Contact me here or on Facebook if you'd like to help. Donations can be brought day of the event, or we can meet up before hand. All donated prizes will be used for a Chinese Raffle after the event to raise additional funds. I am still looking for a venue for an after-party for the raffle out that way. If anybody has any ideas for this, please let me know. It can be a bar or restaurant, party center, or whatever. I will contact the possible venues and see who can help us out, I just need some ideas. Thanks to all who have donated so far!!

I am looking for sponsors to help with donations for prizes and raffle items to help raise some funds to help one of our own out. If you have any ideas or contacts that you think could help, please let me know. This includes everything and anything, and any help will be greatly appreciated. Both events will have 100% of proceeds going right to Mike, and this will include entry fees and any other monies raised during the events, with things like raffles, 50/50, and anything else we come up with. Please keep an eye out here and on discgolfscene for more info and spread the word to help support someone who really need it.
I am contacting any disc golf company I can think of. So far MVP, Dynamic Discs, Aerobie, and some of our locals have committed to donations. I'm also going to reach out to some sellers and goods manufacturers like Keen and Grip. We could use help with local business donations for each if you have any ideas on your part of town. I'm working with some east side locals to do just this. Disc golf retailers, restaurants, whatever. I have a typed letter if anybody needs it to help show this is legit. Just let me know and I can email it to whoever needs it.
