Disc Downtown Inaugural Tournament
About this tournament
THE DISC DOWNTOWN INAUGURAL TOURNAMENT BROUGHT TO YOU BY:
Discraft, DUDE Clothing, Family Fare Supermarkets, Grand Valley State University, & Disc Downtown.
This is the inaugural tournament, ladies and gentlemen. A true, urban disc golf tournament just as we’ve all envisioned. Grand Rapids has patiently awaited the arrival of this epic event!
The purpose of this community event is simple- grow the sport. Disc Golf is the sport for anyone and everyone. No matter your age, gender, athleticism or pay check disc golf has something to offer you.
Imagine driving through the west side of GR but instead of the ol’ busted Bonneville or the mini-van you refer to as The Swaggawagon, a first-ever of its kind, custom hybrid Buzzz by Discraft. (Ya like what we did there?)
The Disc Downtown Inaugural Tournament will offer competitive Pro and Am Doubles player divisions and a community family round, sick pay-outs, CTPs, tons of prizes & giveaways, and Chainstar baskets in the middle of the GVSU campus.
The course will run through Grand Valley State University Pew Campus in downtown Grand Rapids starting under US 131. Streets will be closed to make disc golf holes leading to Ah Nab Awen Park with holes next to the Grand River. This urban disc golf course is going to be both fun and challenging to all skill levels.
