FAQ's
1. When registering, one player is MPO and their partner is MA1. What division should we play?
A: Your team needs to register in the MPO division because you play in the division of the higher skilled player.
2. I'm a MA40 player and I have a MA60 partner. Can we sign up in MA60?
A: No, you would play in the MA40 division. Age protected players can play in younger divisions but not older divisions. This would also be the same for MP40-MP60 teams. If there was a MP40 player paired with a MP50 player, they would need to register for the MP40 division.
3. I'm a MA2 player and my partner is a MA1 player, can we play down in the MA2 level?
A: No, following the above guidelines your team needs to sign up and compete in the MA1 division. This is to keep all divisions consistent and competitive.
PLEASE READ the above guidelines upon signing up for this event.
Round 1 at The Cardinal in Sharon KS Holes 1-9 Best Shot:
Both team members will throw off the tee pad at first. The team then chooses which of the two discs to play from on the next throw. So basically, whoever’s shot was better is where you will both throw from on the next shot. This format continues until one of the team members holes out. Once one player is able to hole out, that hole is completed. Both team members don’t have to make it in the basket.
Round 1 at The Cardinal in Sharon KS Holes 10-18 Tough Shot:
Both players throw and the opposing team(s) chooses which throw a team is to throw from next. You MUST choose the disc that you feel will result in a worse score for your opponents. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of BOTH teams. The goal is to maximize the opposing team’s score by picking the worst of the two throws. Both players again throw and the opposing team picks the worst throw. The hole is completed once one of the team members makes the putt.(both players do not have to make the putt)
Round 2 at Bulldog Meadows in Attica KS
Round 2 Holes 1-18 Alternate Shot:
The team picks which team member throws first on their first hole. From then on, you alternate who throws at every throw. Example: Player A drives, Player B throws next, Player A putts and makes it. Player B would be teeing off on the next hole and the format would repeat. A hole is completed when one of the team members makes it in the basket. THE ORDER DOES NOT RESET UPON COMPLETION OF A HOLE. This format will continue until all 18 holes have been played.
Fee breakdown is as such:
Pro Divisions: $4 to KDGA($2 per player), $56 to payout.
Amateur Divisions: $4 to KDGA($2 per player) $30 toward player's pack, $26 to payout.
Pro Divisions will be paid via Pay Pal
Amateur Divisions will receive merchandise as their payout.
All amateur players will recieve a player's pack with their paid entry fee.
