Daywalker's Doubles
About this tournament
PDGA Sanctioned XC-Tier event
Event Registration:
Washtenaw County Glow is hosting Daywalker's Doubles on Saturday May 25th at beautiful Independence Lake County Park.
This is a Bring Your Own Partner (BYOP) Doubles event. You will need to play in the division of the person with the highest rating on your team. For instance, if you have an AM2 rating and your partner has an AM1 rating, then you will be placed in the AM1 division. Of course, you are welcome to play up a division as well.
RAH and RAD are for teams that have an AM male and AM female player (see ratings cap for appropriate division).
Trophies/plaques awarded in divisions that have a minimum of 3 teams.
Player pack will be available for all AM players (BOTH members of the team must check-in at the same time on event day in order to receive player pack). After deducting player pack and PDGA fee, etc. from your entry, the remainder will go towards division payouts. Payouts will be presented PER TEAM.
FORMAT
2 rounds 18 holes each
Best-shot doubles
Independence features a variety of holes and requires a variety of shots in order to score well.
TEES
Open and Advanced - Long/Long (Black Tees)
Intermediate - Long/Short (Black Tees / White Tees) (not necessarily in this order)
All others - Short/Short (White Tees)
COURSE/SETUP:
RED HAWK EAST
RED HAWK WEST (intermediate will play longs on this course)
We will be playing to the A Pin position on the West course for holes that have the multiple baskets.
ACE POOL & EXTRAS
Ace Pool is available both during online registration and at player check-in. Ace pool will payout at 100% for any ace hit in the round. Each ace will count as 1 share, so if 1 ace is hit, that player will receive 100% of the pot. If 2 aces are hit by player A and 1 ace by player B, the split is 2/3 to Player A and 1/3 to Player B. If no one hits the ace pool, we will throw off for it after the final round. 100% of the ace pool will be awarded.
LUNCH/FOOD OPTIONS
You will have a 1 hour lunch (which starts when the LAST CARD of round 1 is turned in). The park typically expects HEAVY traffic since the water park opens Memorial Day weekend. We are hoping they have the concession stand open at Blue Heron Bay (across the parking lot from us), as well as the snack bar at the Beach Center. Of course, you may also chose to pack a lunch.
