PLAYERS MEETING NOTES – DIO JR. Sept 18
First a huge shout out to all the members of DiscIthaca! Never before have we had such depth and dedication in the club. After plugging away at disc golf in Ithaca for almost 20 years now, I’m so grateful for all of the amazing club members that made so much happen this year. Thank you!!!

Now, onto the tournament.
First the safety rules. We are guests of Tompkins Cortland Community College and Dotson Community Park and have agreed to abide by their rules. We ask that you wear a mask when checking in. You may choose to wear a mask the entire time if you like. Mark Thorton, your card would prefer you to wear a full face mask – (think Halloween), thank you.
Format: Two 17-hole rounds of disc golf, at TC3 and Danby. Tee Times.
Note: there will be no divisional shuffle in-between rounds.
You will be playing with the same 4-some both rounds.
Check-In 15 minutes prior to your tee time.
The TD will review all specific course notes with your card.
RAFFLE PRIZE! - The just-released Bushnell 850 Disc Golf Rangefinder.
This came out on MONDAY!!! I have one for myself and it’s pretty awesome and accurate.
Tickets – 1 for $2; 3 for $5; 7 for $10; 15 for $20; and are available at Round 1 Check-in ONLY.
I will video the drawing and post to the club facebook page. The winner will be handed their prize when they complete the second round.
First Round: Panther Highlands Disc Golf Course at TC3;
170 North St, Dryden, NY 13053
Note: The crew at TC3 and the club have been working on the new layout at TC3.
- Tees have been temporarily installed for the tournament and are either turf over gravel or rubber over gravel. Full wood frame tees (like the ones you will see at Danby) will be constructed and turfed in time for NY States next year.
- Not all the clearing is complete, but the holes are playable. We will have spotters on the course to help
- It wouldn’t hurt to mention the PDGA rule for a lost disc – 3 minutes from the time all members of the card are looking for the disc. If you do loose something, please move on and message me. We will do our best to see it gets back to you.
TEE ASSIGNMENTS:
White – OPEN, MA1, MA40,
Red – FA1, MA2, MA3, FA3
You will be assigned your second round tee time when your turn in your card. The amount of time you have between rounds will be determined by how long it takes to play the new layout at TC3.
Second Round: The Lynx at Dotson Community Park, Danby NY;
1825 Danby Rd, Ithaca, NY 14850
Check-in 10 Minutes before your round time to go over course notes and get your scorecard.
When parking at Danby –
DO NOT PARK ON EITHER SIDE OF THE ROAD NEAR THE COURSE! We will have it marked and there is overflow parking at the Town Hall across the street from the park.

Blue – OPEN, MA1, MA40, MA2
Orange – FA1, MA3, FA3
Results and Payouts:
Results will be posted online (Disc Golf Scene) after the event.
$5 of each entry goes to support NY States. Rest to payout
All cash payouts for all divisions, winnings will be issued via PayPal F&F;
Payout details: top 50% in each division, straight scale.
Payouts by division will be posted to Disc Golf Scene in the comments section.
