About this tournament
Welcome to the 2023 DGPT Elite Series event, The Preserve Championship powered by Prodigy. The best of the best professional disc golfers will be back in Clearwater, MN to compete at the Black Bear course designed by Leiviska Disc Golf.
All three rounds will be at the Black Bear course with some notable changes. There is a brand-new hole 5 which has been carved out of the woods just beyond hole 4's basket. This is a technical 275' par 3. Hole 10 (last years 9) will be teeing off from a different spot. The new tee pad is a ways up the original fairway but throwing to a deeper pin location against the sand traps and Victoria's creek. Holes 13 and 14 have been combined to make an awesome par 5 along the Mississippi River. Finally, Hole 15 has a newly built tee-pad with a beautiful back-drop of the river, this hole will also include a new Mando on the right of the pro level gap needed to be hit to get out into the fairway.
We continue to push this course to grow and build even better on-site experiences for the spectators and competitors alike. We will have multiple vendors this year in the newly designed vendor village which is located where the player practice area was last year.
Special thanks to Prodigy Disc, The Preserve staff and all of the volunteers to make this event such a unique and amazing experience!
Last but not least, thank you to Cale Leiviska for your continued efforts to grow our sport to new heights!
