WHILE PRACTICING
Be aware kids from the First Tee of Austin may be doing golf drills on various parts of the property Monday thru Thursday from 9:00am-2:30pm. They will be in isolated areas that could occasionally impact practice rounds, especially disc golf holes 2, 3, 4. If you pass through a group of kid golfers, please ask them politely to stand aside while you complete your practice throws for that hole, or, let them play through. Consider leaving a disc or mini behind as a thank you for sharing their space with disc golf during their spring break. A Practice Tee Time form will be emailed to you by March 1.

THE COURSE
The course will have a very different feel, with six new holes being created in the woods along Walnut Creek. These new holes have allowed us room to get more creative with the open golf areas surrounding the creek and we are confident we have an increasingly competitive, entertaining, and fun mix of throws for players and spectators alike. In fact, only five holes remain unchanged from 2023, so get ready for a new course experience at Harvey Penick!

THE VENUE
Another significant change to the site plan is the starting and finishing hole positions. Holes 1 and 18 are now by the rugby complex parking area, eliminating the need to shuttle players for their tee times. With this change, both players and spectators now have just a short walk from parking to the opening and finishing holes. The rugby clubhouse will serve all week as the location for event administration and a player lounge which is also open to Gold and Silver Pass Holders.

As we continue to develop this venue we thank you, the players, for the important role you play in the growth of the sport. We're looking forward to seeing you all in March!

Sincerely,
The Staff of The Open at Austin
