If anyone needs a play to stay in emporia this week, we have an Airbnb that we will not be able to use by Jones West. Message for details.

Why was I removed from waitlist? I was number 3 ? Now there are three spots open

Tee times were made official and we are no longer accepting people from the waitlist.

Trevon Crowe    April 26, 2022 at 12:15pm

I just got refunded for the tournament but I didn’t ask for one. Now there is no waitlist but there’s still two days before the tournament starts. Why is that?

Same thing here. An explanation would be pretty cool

Dynamic Discs   April 26, 2022 at 1:54pm

Everyone on the waitlist was refunded because tee times are official.

Will the DGPT spots drop off for the waitlisted players?

When are spots locked in and no longer filled from the wait list?

After registration has closed.

How likely is it that more spots will open or that enough people will back out for me to play? I'm 41 on waitlist, and would like to confirm my hotel and time off from work.

It is tough to say how quickly the waitlist will move, but you can stay on the waitlist for a long as you want for a better chance at entering in the event. At this time, we do not anticipate adding more spots to the event.

Elijah Miller   April 12, 2022 at 6:54pm

Any update on this? Just want to be sure, I'd love to play this year.

Dynamic Discs   April 12, 2022 at 7:17pm

At this time we will not be adding spots.

Tanner Girouard    January 17, 2022 at 11:25pm

How come there were 178 total spots last year and only 168 this year ? Makes no sense. The sport is growing. Not shrinking

We do not want any issues with people finishing in the dark. This is the number we came up with based on estimated tee times. We understand the sport is growing, but we still have to think of the safety of the competitors.

Something needs to happen soon to accommodate more players.

Jeff Casalina    January 15, 2022 at 2:08am

Need a little clarification. One page states Tier II min rating for MPO is 985. Another says it’s 970. Can you let me know which tier a 975 rated player can attempt to register? Thanks!

Dynamic Discs   January 17, 2022 at 3:14pm

On what page do you see 985? Tier II is PO 970+ and FPO 870+

Jeff Casalina   January 18, 2022 at 3:13am

In the “About” tab

Dynamic Discs   January 18, 2022 at 3:01pm

Thanks!

I’m sure I’m just not seeing this, but where are age protected sign ups for 40, 50, 60 and 70 year old pros? All I see is MPO and ams

The criteria to run a DGPT tournament allows for an associated amateur event alongside the DGPT as long as it does not interfere with the main event. We have decided not to offer professional age-protected divisions based on the DGPT Event & Venue Expectations document provided by the DGPT. We h ... more

They have answered this in the A-Tier page. Different standards for a DGPT vs. the NT which the tournament has been in previous years. They were limited in the number of players they could accommodate, and the Pro-Aged Protected divsions were not included this year as a result.

Kimberly Giannola    January 12, 2022 at 12:40am

So....just curious here.

When registration went live, there were exactly 5 slots available to FPO. FIVE.

The rest seemed to be taken up by Tour Pass holders and DGPT exemptions. This seems like a terrifyingly small number; almost to the point if one isn't a Tour Pass holder one isn't playing.

Is there consideration for expanding the division beyond 40 players?

Divisions were expanded after a discussion with the DGPT. It was made know there were more women who wanted to play this event than we have had in past years which is great!

Melodie Bailey   January 14, 2022 at 12:55am

How come the person behind me on the wait list got in before me?

Dynamic Discs   January 14, 2022 at 10:26pm

Sponsor Exemption.
