Hi All!

Hi All!

Additionally, the main road coming in and out of the sports complex where Greg Carter is located will be closed at 1PM for the Trussville Christmas Parade staging area. Below is a link to maps showing the route in and out of the sports complex as well as maps showing where to park at LeMaster for the second round. Please carpool as much as possible from Carter to LeMaster so we don't have too many cars along the road.

Lastly, to avoid the parade staging traffic, we will be moving hole 17 at Carter to the position in the woods and I am headed out there as soon as I send this email to establish a temporary tee on the same side of the road as the wooded placement. This will avoid us having to throw over the road while cars may be lined up there for the parade.

I do apologize for these last minute changes. We have already put things in place to avoid this next year. I appreciate everyone's patience. Let's not let this effect the fun we will have have tomorrow.

Check In

All players need to check in at Greg Carter near hole 1 between 7:30am and 8:30am. Failure to check in will result in the player being removed from their hole assignment.

Player’s Pack Pickup

Player’s may pick up their player’s pack at check in. Also, I will have a limited number of player’s packs with me at John LeMaster on Friday from 3PM to 5PM.

Tee Assignments

We have two pools. One will be playing Greg Carter in the morning and John LeMaster (aka Civitan) in the afternoon. The other pool will do the opposite.

Pool A
MPO, FPO, MP40, MA1, FA1, MA40

Round 1: Carter
Round 2: LeMaster

Pool B
MA50, MA55, MA2, MA3, MA4

Round 1: LeMaster
Round 2: Carter

Hole assignments will be up on PDGA web site by Friday evening. https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/74993. Due to the possibility of some players not showing up, please be sure and check your hole assignment after the player’s meeting as well.

Scoring

We will be use PDGA live scoring. At least two people in every group need to keep score. Go to https://www.pdga.com/score and enter the code DGBCC23. You can also install the PDGA Live app. See https://www.pdga.com/pdga-live-app for details about the app.

CTPs

We have great CTP prizes provided by Las Vegas Disc Golf Club, Trash Panda Disc Golf, Monkey Grip Dyes, and DGB. All CTPs will be at Greg Carter. CTP holes will be as follows:

MA1: 1
MA4: 2
MA2: 5
MA55: 7
MA50: 12
FPO & FA1: 13
MA3: 16
MA40: 17
MPO & MP40: 18

If you are the last group on one of these holes in the second round, please bring the CTP flag back to tournament central. You must be present to get your CTP prize. If you leave, it will be given to the next person on the list.

Ace Pot

There will be a CTP on hole 14 at Carter for the ace pot in the event no one hits an ace. That way we don’t have to do a throw off after the rounds are over. Only players that have paid into the ace pot are eligible to win the CTP if no ace is hit. To clarify, the CTP is ONLY used in the event NO ACE IS HIT.

If multiple aces are hit during the tournament, the ace pot will be split between all players making an ace. If a player makes more than one ace (it has happened at an event I was running) the player will only get one share of the ace pot.

Caddy Book

You can find images in the Pictures section of Disc Golf Scene with the positions, distances, and OB for each course. The distances listed are based on UDisc and in some cases may not be 100% accurate.

FYI, I have tweaked the pools to balance them to allow players in all divisions that still want to play to register. This is the last change I will be making. Registration closes tomorrow.

We have reached our limit on player's packs purchased. If there is still room in your pool and you are willing to accept an alternate player's pack, you can register and choose 'Yes' for the alternate player's pack option. You will be put on the waitlist and accepted in the order in which you register.
