About this tournament

Welcome to the tournament page for the Curtis Corner Classic Sponsored by Flying Saucers Disc Golf, the first 2 round, 1 day PDGA sanctioned event at the Curtis Corner disc golf course in 8 years! Please join me in the push to bolster the Rhody disc golf tournament scene.

Format:
2 round, 1 day shotgun start event

Payouts:
Pro divisions will receive cash payouts through PayPal. The top 40% of each pro division will receive payouts.
Amateur and all other divisions payouts will be merchandise credit to the Flying Saucers Disc Golf store located in Dartmouth, MA.
Flying Saucers Disc Golf will be on site at Tournament Central after Round 2 for amateurs to redeem their merchandise credit.
Players may also either redeem their credit at the store or call the store to place an order to be shipped to them. The top 45% of each amateur division will receive payouts.

Added Cash:
I'm very grateful and excited to announce that Arnold Chapman of Flying Saucers Disc Golf is contributing $400 to be our primary sponsor and to sponsor a hole. This money will be added to the the Pro purse. Players also have the option to sponsor a hole for $25 to put up a sign next to a teepad representing yourself or your organization and to contribute to the added cash in the Pro purse.

Players Packs:
1 disc of your choosing from an assortment of MVP Neutron and Discmania C-Line drivers, mid-ranges, and putters + a Grip4Rip chalk bag courtesy of Shane Leadbetter. Players in pro divisions will not receive player's packs as they will receive cash payouts for the net entry fees value.
In addition to player's packs, Lucky Disc Golf will be sponsoring the tournament by giving $5 in store credit to each player.

Hole Sponsorships:
Signs placed next to tees for players' businesses/groups they would like to sponsor/represent. Please email me at [email redacted] with whatever design and which hole you'd like to sponsor if you are interested. Money from each $25 hole sponsorship will added to the pro purse.

Upon registering player's will have the option to put in $5 to the ace pot. If no ace is hit after both rounds have been played, the ace pot will be donated to Champions League RI.
I'm also offering something new which is a $10 eagle pot. There are three par 4s at Curtis Corner (Holes 6, 8, and 11). Perhaps not 11, but I know players who have eagled holes 6 and 8 so clearly it can be done. If you've got the arm and can hit the line, I encourage you to give it a shot!

Layout:
Standard 18 hole Layout (Hole numbers have been changed recently so be aware of that)

Out of Bounds Rules:

For OB rock walls on hole 2 through 5, on the wall is in bounds, over the wall is out of bounds. If there is any confusion during play, take a picture of the lie and I will make a determination as TD. All paved areas are OB.
For any OB shot, you may either play from where it crossed into the OB area with a penalty stroke, throw from a drop zone with a penalty stroke if there is one, or re-throw with a penalty stroke.

1. OB paved path right and long of the basket.
2. MANDO right. If the MANDO is missed, you may either throw from the drop zone at the red stake on left side of fairway with a penalty stroke or re-tee with a penalty stroke. OB rock wall right. OB rock wall left. OB path left.
3. MANDO right. If the MANDO is missed, you may either throw from the drop zone at the red stake on right side of fairway with a penalty stroke or re-tee with a penalty stroke. OB paved path left. OB rock wall right and long of the basket.
4. OB rock wall right. OB road long of the basket.
5. OB rock wall right.
6. OB playground right.
7. No OB.
8. No OB.
9. No OB. Swamp area long of the basket plays as casual. If your disc lands in the swamp area, you may take relief backwards from the basket in a straight line without penalty.
10. OB bike path right.
11. MANDO left. If the MANDO is missed, you may either throw from the drop zone at the yellow marker on left side of fairway with a penalty stroke or re-tee with a penalty stroke. OB water left and long of the basket.
12. OB water. For all OB drives that land in water, you may either proceed to the drop zone at the red rock with a penalty stroke or play from where it crossed out of bounds with a penalty stroke. All subsequent OB water shots play from where the disc crossed with a penalty stroke. If your disc lands in the right side swamp area, you have the option to play from the drop zone with a penalty stroke.
13. OB road long of the basket.
14. OB paved path right and long of the basket.
15. OB paved path right and long of the basket.
16. OB paved path left and long of the basket. Stream plays as casual.
17. OB paved path right and long of the basket.
18. OB paved path left and long of the basket.
