About this tournament

WELCOME TO THE 2023 CUP OF BLOOD PRESENTED BY SIERRA DISC GOLF CO.

PROUDLY HOSTED IN MERCED, CALIFORNIA FOR THE 2023 SEASON, WITH MANY GREAT THANKS TO CHRIS GRAHAM AND THE TUOLUMNE COUNTY DISC GOLF CLUB FOR ALLOWING US THIS HONORED OPPORTUNITY TO CARRY THE TORCH THIS YEAR!

This will be a one-day, two-round C-Tier event, consisting of 21 holes each round.

Fahrens Park has been in operation for over 20 years and has been a technical and beautiful place to play and visit.
So please come out and help celebrate our park, score some amazing swag, and help grow the sport!

Water stations will be located at multiple locations across the course to take care of our players. Volunteers will also be out on the course to help with OB calls and hydration stations.

Lunch is available on-site the day of the event.

Local Restaurants in the area are Del Tac, Panda Express, McDonald's, Coconut Cafe, Applebee's, and Sizzler

Local Hotels in the area are Hampton Inn & Suites, El Capitan Hotel, & Courtyard by Marriot.

RV Camping sites in the area would be Merced River RV Resort - rates are $55 a night with full hookups.

Following the final round, there will be a Raffle for some amazing prizes, a Ring of Fire Throw-down, and a CTP shootout: if the Ace Pot is not hit the ace pot will be split and 50% will go to the end of the tournament CTP Shootout/ the other 50% will be donated to the club.

We are accepting (New/unused) donated items at check-in for the raffle in exchange for tickets. Discs will get you 5 tickets each, towels and other small items 3 tickets each, small bags 10tickets and large bags 30 tickets each, baskets and larger items 50-200 tickets each depending on the value/quality - if interested in an early donation please email the TD

AM Players' Packs are provided by Sierra Disc Golf Co. and will be given out at Tournament Central upon Check In.

Trophies will be given for First, Second, and Third Place for each division if applicable.

Pro Payout through Paypal.

AM Payout for AM40, AM50, AM60, AM1, and AM2 will be through Sierra Disc Golf and sent VIA email a few days after the event.

~Use of Limited Exceptions~
Our team will ensure that the use of limited exceptions (hole sponsorships & volunteers) meets the criteria and intent established by 1.02 in the PDGA competition manual. The number of players gaining entry into the event using these exceptions will not exceed 33% of the field.

Refund policy

Merced County Disc Golf Club is responsible for all refunds/cancellations.

Sponsorship Fees and Tee Pad Donations will not be refunded but are transferable upon request.

Partial refunds will be given per PDGA requirements (section 1.03, see details below).

A $5 fee will be charged to all players who withdraw in addition to the percentages below. Please request refunds via the link in your registration email, the withdraw button on the Players tab for the tournament, or via email to the TD contact email ( [email redacted] ). Refunds requested via the disc golf scene comments will not be honored.

A. Players who officially request to withdraw from the event before September 29 (30 days prior to the event) will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee.
B. Players who officially request to withdraw from the event between September 30 and October 13 (15 to 29 days prior to registration closing) will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee minus a $5 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is NOT filled, there will be a 50% monetary refund.
C. Players who officially request to withdraw from the event after October 14 (14 days prior) will receive a 100% monetary refund minus a $5 handling fee ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is NOT filled there will be a 25% monetary refund.
D. Players who do NOT officially request to withdraw from a registered spot playing in the event prior to October 25th (when registration closes) forfeit their entry fee and do NOT receive a refund or player’s pack.
