About this tournament
The cost is $30 and includes ACE fund. For AM's they will receive their choice of an Innova or Infinite disc that's in our inventory.
This will be a fun 2 rounds of 18 holes each. This will also be the last COLT qualifier before the finale on 9/28 at Osage Grove.
An email will be sent out to all players at least 2 days prior to the event.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a COLT series qualifier. What's that mean?
We wanted to reward the pros who finish at the top locally, and also to help grow the MA1/FA1 and age protected AM divisions if possible.
So how does one qualify? Obviously, the COLT Finale is for the cream of the crop. In each of the events that are labeled "COLT" at the end, that means for all Open divisions, MA1/FA1 and age protected AM's, if they finish in the top 20% of their division, they will be added in to the finale. You don't have to play every event that is a COLT event. The finale is on September 28. https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/Crossover_COLTS_Finale_2024
Obviously the more you play, the more chances you have to qualify, and/or selfishly limit the field for the finale by finishing in the top 20% if you have already qualified.
Here are the numbers to qualify per division in each event. This represents the top 20%:
1 to 5 players qualifies 1
6 to 12 players qualifies 2
13 to 17 players qualifies 3
18 to 22 players qualifies 4
23 to 27 players qualifies 5
28 to 32 players qualifies 6
33 to 37 players qualifies 7
38 to 42 players qualifies 8
43 to 47 players qualifies 9
48 to 52 players qualifies 10
in the event of tie, players would qualify
if the chart says 2 qualify, but say there was 1st place and 2 way tie for 2nd, they’d all 3 qualify
It’s # of players not finishing position
To make sure we are clear, the divisions that are trying to qualify for the finale are:
-Open Divisions Male/Female - MPO/FPO, MP40/FP40, MP50/FP50, MP60/FP60, MP70/FP70
-MA1/FA1
-Age protected AM's - MA40/FA40, MA50/FA50, MA60/FA60, MA70/FA70
If you qualify for more than one division, you can select which you want in the finale. Also PDGA division guidelines apply. So an AM can try to qualify in MPO, and Pros under 970 rated can play AM divisions they are eligible for per PDGA chart.
Everyone is eligible for the COLT series. It might mean playing up in MA1/FA1 to qualify, or playing age protected AM's, but everyone has a chance to qualify.
Keep throwing forward! We hope to see you out soon!

Good morning. I wanted to get this tournament email out today. Cheryl, Kyle and I are super excited about the Crossover Keep it in the Fairway, which is the last COLT qualifier of the year. It will be on Sunday 9/15 at County Farm. This will be a 2 round PDGA C-tier that will shotgun start at 9a. The following will be the most important details for the event. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or comments before the event.
For County Farm, it is pretty simple and straightforward. There are no OB, no mandos, and no islands. The rough is thick, hence the name: "keep it in the fairway".
We will do approximately an hour lunch break from last card. There are not many options you can get to from County Farm and back in time. Every time we have had an event, someone has tried and failed, taking 7's on holes because they were late. So please plan accordingly.
The PDGA live code: countyfarm915
The schedule will look like this for the day:
820-850a player check in
9a - Shotgun Start
Lunch break
2nd round
Payouts and awards
Per PDGA, every player must check in. If you haven't checked in by 850p, per PDGA we can withdraw you from the event. No one wants to do that. We are not going to have a players meeting. It is your responsibility to know what's expected for the day and be at your hole for the start of each round. Hole assignments will be posted by 9p the evening prior to the event. You can find them here: https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/85035
If you decide that this event is not for you, to receive a refund, you must withdraw by 12p Saturday on 9/14.
Following the round, please give us a few minutes to get everything organized so we can hand out awards and payouts. If you are curious if you are going to get a payout, it is the top 45% per division by the PDGA. That will help you determine if you need/want to stick around. AM's will receive Crossover Cash. This can be exchanged for disc golf merchandise that we will have on hand.
In 2024, all players are required to keep score. Cheryl and I have not been doing this accurately in previous events, so it's important we get it right. Score needs to be in PDGA Live or Paper. Those are your 2 choices. All scores must be submitted or the player not submitting will be assessed a 2 stroke penalty per PDGA. 30 minutes following the end of the round they must be turned in. So please submit and finalize on PDGA live or turn in your scorecards.
Everyone is in the ACE fund, if no ACE is hit, we will donate the money to County Farm. We are now doing ACE payoffs electronically by PayPal.
In the event there is a tie for first place in a division, the playoff will start on hole #1 until there is a winner playing the same layout from round 1 with the same course particulars.
This is a PDGA event, so everyone should be up to date on the PDGA's stance on what is legal and what is not legal. Please don't put Cheryl or myself in position to make a call that we don't want to address, or should have to address.
This is our last COLT qualifier. These divisions do not have to have the minimum of 3. They are all Open divisions, MA1/FA1, and AM age protected. The top 20% will move on to the finale as stated in the chart in DGS.
With low numbers, we will be more relaxed on the number of players in each division.
It's going to be a great day. Please contact us with any questions you may have!
Thanks,
Josh, Kyle and Cheryl
