Good afternoon. I am super excited that you signed up to be part of our next "Friday Night Flights" at the Woodland Mound 7/5. This will be a 1 round PDGA C-Tier. We will do a shotgun start at 630p sharp.
At the sending of this email, the 14 players are all ones that have come to many of our "Night Flights" around the area, and only 7 AMs. Last year at Winton Woods, the Rangers approached us in the parking lot, and with conversations with the Hamilton County Parks they wanted us to move our payouts/merchandise to the shelter that is across from Winton Woods #4. The last time we were at Woodland Mound, we had a similar incident with the Rangers. In talking with the parks again this week, they would like for us to no longer have the payouts/merchandise in the parking lot across from #1. That is where our problem arises. There are no shelters that are attached to or across from any holes at Woodland Mound. So for tomorrow night, we will not have merchandise with us for payouts. We will still do the bag tags, and hand out the Crossover Cash, but we will not be bringing our normal spread of products. While the round is taking place, Cheryl is going to scout out an area or areas that we could use the next time there (hopefully in a few weeks). Thank you for understanding this situation. We've never had to do this, but we figured it was better to carry on with the event than cancel it.
This event is part of our Friday Night Flight Summer miniseries. There is a $60 ACE fund carry over from last week at the Vineyard. We will throw off if no aces are hit tomorrow night.
Cheryl and I will be at tournament central, which will be located by hole 1 tee pad. We will begin check in around 545p. I will post hole assignments by around 330p. They will be found at:
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/83430
With doing a shotgun start, make sure you are at your hole by 628p when we will yell "two minutes" and beep the truck horn. Please be aware that the course is not shut down for this event, so be mindful and considerate of casuals who may be on the course. It's important that we all play nice together.
Here is the schedule of events. The schedule will look like this:
545-630p - Player Check In
630p - Shotgun Start
@8p - Awards/payouts
We will be using PDGA Live for all scoring, and then a secondary form of scoring per card (PDGA live, Udisc or paper copy). The PDGA Live access code is: woodland75
Cards will be made of of primarily 3-4 players. Depending on numbers, we may have to mix some divisions. We will do our best to make sure everyone is with at least 1 person from their division. As posted in the event about section, divisions need to have a minimum of 3 players unless otherwise approved by the TD.
All AM divisions will receive AM's Crossover cash immediately following the completion of their divisions rounds. Open players will receive their payouts via PayPal electronically.
It is on each player to know the PDGA rules and guidelines. It is on each card to make sure you are on the appropriate tee. It's easy to go to the wrong hole sometimes, so make sure the card confirms they are on the correct tee pad for each hole.
It's going to be a great night. Again, we are excited that you are going to join us.
See you at the course!
Thanks,
Josh and Cheryl
