Crossover Friday Flights Summer Mini-Series #2 2024
About this tournament
Crossover Disc Golf presents: "Friday Night Flights Summer Miniseries 2024".
We took some time off because numbers were much lower this year for our "Night Flight" series. We are looking to bring them back, and this will help us see if they are worth trying to bring back or not. The reality is that our local event scene has changed and shifted from past years, and we recognize that.
This series will be 2 weeks. We will do 6/28 at the Vineyard, and 6/29 at Woodland Mound.
Tee off for this event will be 630p.
Ok, let's dive in to some of the particulars. These tournaments will be a PDGA C-Tier 1 rounders with a shotgun start. We are capping the field at 48 players. This is good for pace of play, and casuals who are on the course as well. Depending on the course we may add more, but 48 is where we are going to start with as a full field. If you want in, get in, don't wait until Friday afternoon.
Last year we toyed around with an ACE fund carry over. We are going to do it again. If an ACE isn't hit, it moves to the next week of the series with no throw off. At one point last year, the ACE fund was a multi week carry over. As that happens, again like I posted above, you need to sign up as soon as you know you want to play. These are wildly popular events, and while a traditional weekend event has a 72 player field, these do not. If there is no ACE hit the last week, it will just carry over to the next Friday Night Flight series. We will do a throw off after the 2nd week at Woodland if not hit.
There must be at least 3 players in a division, unless otherwise approved by TD's. We will move/consolidate as needed.
The cost for all divisions will be $20. You must preregister like a traditional weekend event. There is a $3 optional ACE fund.
These events are designed to be efficient and cost friendly. AM's will compete for Crossover Cash which they can exchange for disc golf merchandise. All Open players will be paid via PayPal.
An email will be sent out to all players the day prior to the event.
More info coming soon....
