Good morning. Registration is closed and we are full. Below you will find all the information about the upcoming Crossover Acorn Toss at Millikin on 10/3.
As we are a few days away from the event, we just wanted to send out a players info email. Hopefully this will have everything in it to answer any questions you may have.
We will be playing 2 rounds, of shotgun start format for the day. We will play the regular 18 holes, with 4 temp holes, to give us
22 holes. The course flows really well, and shouldn't be painfully long rounds. The temp tees will be marked with pink flags, and will have "next" signs where needed.
Tournament central will be at shelter #13. The schedule will look like this:
8-840a - Player Check In
840a - Brief players meeting
9a - 1st round tee off
Lunch - We will do our best to do an hour from last card of 1st round, but could be 45 minutes
Round 2
Awards and Ace Throw Off if not hit during the round
For all players who are in the ACE Fund, if it is not hit, we will do a throw off and the ACE Fund will be split 60/40 with the 2 closest discs/players.
Here is the list of OB at the current moment. Cheryl and I will adjust it as needed and let you know ASAP. We are going to go out later this week and mark the 4 temp holes. I will post an official OB/Hole layout by Saturday.

All Pro divisions will receive their payouts via PayPal and all AM's Crossover cash immediately following the completion of their divisions rounds. There will be merchandise on hand to exchange in the Crossover Cash.
It's going to be a great day. Thank you for signing up to be a part of it. We look forward to seeing you all Sunday. If for some reason you need to drop/withdraw, please do so by Friday night at 8p to receive a full refund.
I will have hole assignments up by Friday night, but just know that they could change due to players dropping/adding last minute. The first round could have some cards that are mixed divisions. The 2nd round will be determined based on 1st round scores. While we try to accommodate card mate requests when appropriate or needed, there is no guarantee in this event you will be paired with your friends. Even if you carpool together, this event is a shotgun start. When events are flex starts or tee times, those accommodations are considered and usually granted.
In the event there is a tie for first place, they playoff will start on hole #1 until there is a winner.
At the completion of the 2 rounds, we will do awards and payouts. As per PDGA, the top 40% will receive Crossover Cash. This can be exchanged for disc golf merchandise that we will have on hand.
We will use PDGA Live scoring. The access code is: acorn
Since this is a PDGA event, I want to remind everyone that alcohol and other "extra curriculars" are not permitted. Please don't put your card mates, or myself as TD in a bad position to take action. I will not turn my head and look the other way. It's 1 day of disc golf. Everyone can abstain for the duration of the event. It's the PDGA's rules and guidelines, and our job to keep the integrity of the sport.
It's going to be a great day. Please contact us with any questions you may have!
We will see you Sunday!
Thanks,
Josh and Cheryl
