About this tournament

Welcome, to the first ever Discovering the World Open Supported by Innova located on a stunning 250 acre private property owed by Thousand Pines Christian Camp in Crestline California! Up at 4600 feet this heavily wooded hilly course will test your finesse and accuracy as a disc golfer. This 2 day tournament will have tee-times each day as well in order to avoid large crowds.

We are working hard to make this tournament a fun and unique experience for all. We will have digital players handbooks explaining all the course rules and property rules. We will have an awesome players pack largely thanks to Technicolor Printing and Innova Discs. Open payouts will be competitive and will follow the PDGA excel payout tables.

This is a trophy only tournament for advance players. Players will receive a players pack of apparel and discs. There must be a minimum of 3 players per division for first place to receive a trophy.

Pro's will be paid out in cash.

Trophies and payout will be handed out May 16 after the last card of that division is in.

Please plan accordingly there will be no on site camping. If you need lodging please look in the nearby area.
Directions to the camp can be found at https://www.thousandpines.com/directions.html

Please bring plenty of water as this is at higher altitude and the course has a lot of elevation change, so we can avoid any altitude sickness. There are bathrooms on the main property as well as some portable bathrooms about half way through the course.

There will be ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING OR ALCOHOL ON THE COURSE. There is a designated smoking area that will be provided in the email that will go out to all registered players.

PLEASE RESPECT THIS PROPERTY AND THEIR RULES SO WE CAN RUN FUTURE TOURNAMENTS HERE.

Safety Protocol
Illness:

Anyone who is in a high-risk category as noted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or is feeling any symptoms should not participate.

Social Distancing:

The number of participants and staff will be limited.

Participants are asked to observe social distancing measures and stay a minimum of 6’ apart. Wearing of face masks will be suggested at all times you are not on the teebox, at your lie, eating or drinking or, during the round, at least 6 feet from any other person.

As Tournament Director, I advise players to avoid congregating in any area (parking lot, practice baskets, bathroom areas, staffing area, etc.).

We are providing all event information (course rules, FAQs, etc.) by email to avoid the need for larger gatherings like player meetings.

Scores, Equipment & Water

The players in a group may agree on a single player to keep score electronically with PDGA live scoring and another player should keep a paper score card. At the end of the round, digital scores should be verified by checking the paper card and then submitted electronically if possible. Mobile devices should not be shared among players.

Participants should not touch discs, bags, carts, or any other property belonging to another participant. Participants should bring and control their own food and water for the entire round. Players should carry as much water on the round as they can reasonably manage.

Players should consider uniquely marking their discs on both the top and the bottom of the discs, thereby helping to identify the owner of a disc without the need for someone to touch it to flip it over.

Players should clear their disc from a target before another player putts out. A player should not putt into a target that already has another disc within it.

Players should carefully remove their disc from a target and avoid touching any surface of the target while doing so.

First Day On The Property
All players must check in to the main office and sign waiver before playing.
